acting workshops weren’t new for aeri considering that they were always available for them whenever they weren’t busy, but any workshop dealing with improvisation led her to groan a bit in defeat. she knew it was an important skill for actors to have, but aeri felt that she was still struggling to grasp that even after having a few projects in her portfolio.
“yeah, honestly i’d like to meet an actor in this company who has the easiest time improvising and see how they could do it with ease.” aeri sighed as she looked at the scenario that was given to them. “this workshop reminds me a bit of when we had to learn improvisation and comedy for the gag concert.” she turned towards hanbyul, soon realizing that with so many actors come and gone, they were the only two who could commiserate over that specific gig. “at least this hypothetical scenario they gave us isn’t primarily a comedy one, it’s more for commercial which should be a little bit easier for us.” thinking about the scenario a bit longer, she asked hanbyul, “have you advertised for a coffee brand before? or know how the coffee cfs are?”
hanbyul can't help the pout that forms on her face. "you know, you hear of all of those improv clubs and stuff. it seems like a ton of regular people do it but it's still so hard for me," she whines. "maybe it's like a musician who works too much with sheet music. the moment that's taken away, it becomes really difficult." she'd heard of situations like that.
"oh don't remind me. that was somewhat painful." she definitely remembered not doing well in that situation, and in some ways, it had put her off from doing more improv to begin with. "that's true. it's a little more realistic as to what we would know. i know how the coffee cfs are. they really get to me. like how the person gets so inspired by the scent of the coffee. i'm eager to jump to buy the ones i see."
