I am SO happy for lewis, he is so deserving of this. Driving his idol’s car, at his idol homerace, AS IT RAINS!! Aryton LOVED the rain, this could not be more special.

And now flash forward you are racing for your life, with the fastest car behind you, you are racing for your life. You are racing with all the love and pain that the sport has caused you, and all you have to do is keep the pace.

Imagine HIS heart.

Rewatching I noticed he immediately put his hands on his face when he crosses the line. I wonder how many laps he had to keep his emotions so he didn’t ruin his own race, I wonder at what moment he felt “this is mine”, I wonder how deep of at breath he took when he crossed THAT LINE.

A breath he has been holding for 3 years. IMAGINE HIS HEART!
