The reflection from the floor length mirror within the quiet lobby of Indigo’s apartment complex held her attention while she waited for Liam to arrive. Her expected choice in crystalized fringe was admired while as a hand smoothed the metallic layering of threads. The event was all that was mentioned throughout her work week as most craved the distraction it would offer. There wasn’t much for the brunette to anticipate other than the blond that would accompany her for the evening. His presence would allow the authentic nature of her personality to show without an unruly expectation controlling each move she made. A call from the suited doorman forced her attention from the lingering thoughts to glance towards the vehicle that now began to park on the curb. Indigo took a final look over her figure before quickly retreating towards the glass door as the humid air engulfed the brunette with stagnant surroundings. The expected sight of Liam smoothly exiting the vehicle caused her stride to abruptly stop while she trailed over the monochromatic attire. “Well aren’t you a sight for sore eyes,” Her tone was humorous but his appearance was one she absentmindedly observed from the distance while he focused on a temporary diversion. An impudent smirk engraved into the lower half of her face while a hand dramatically swept over the shimmering attire to teasingly draw the immediate attention away from the polished male. “The roaring twenties in all it’s glory,”Â
Liam took one last look in the grand mirror of his bathroom within his penthouse apartment, smoothing back a stray lock as he did before he grabbed his phone and headed for the elevator. A little too early for his own good, the male was oddly excited for the events of the evening to come, given he would once again have that of Indigo Cortes upon his arm. Ever since they were kids he couldn’t quite put his finger on what had drawn him to the petite woman, but whatever it was they had only grown closer over the years and for that he couldn’t have been more grateful. Much alike his best friends with Alaina and Alexandra, Indigo had a way of keeping the business man on his toes and always wanting. And waiting too it seemed as the vehicle pulled up to the curb outside her building in record time. Exiting the vehicle the male, went about buttoning up his jacket, before stealing a glance toward the silver Rolex that adorned his wrist, before hues lifted some to settle upon the door as he waited. After several minutes the beauty appeared at the top of the steps, the sparkle of her dress amplified in the afternoon haze. Liam was experienced in concealing his emotion behind his trademark grin and effortless ability to control the course of a conversation unlike no other, but as he watched her approach all that went out the window as a rare yet genuine grin pulled upon parted lips, gaze filled with something that could only be described as awe. “Couldn’t very well outshine my date this evening, could I.” He settled for, clearing his throat as the expression quickly dispersed. Only when she drew close did he move to open the door to the backseat for her, hand extended to help her inside. “You look -- well, let’s just say I think there will be a few jaws hitting the floor tonight.”
