kenzi staggered before falling. she really needed to learn how to keep her mouth shut sometimes. “that all you got?” she spat at the group of men standing around her. she’d hustled the wrong people again.

Liam lurched forward, lifting his hands. "Whoa. We all need to just calm down. Yeah? Calm down." He turnedto Kenzi. "Are you okay?"

Liam looked at her for a long momwnt. "Me too... I missed you. How are you?"

Liam stated at her for a long moment, eyes pleading. "I'm sorry I vanished on you. I... I had to work on myself. I had to."

Liam conjured up ice before handing it over. "Here man. You okay?"

Liam grimaced. "I uh.. Sorry I dont." He looked at her apologetically. "That really is the worst though."

Liam came forward, hands coming to catch her lightly by the shoulders. "I could ask the same to you... Come on. Let's get out of jere and catch up."

Liam flinched, although he knew he deserved it. "I'm sorry," he said in a broken voice. "I just... Look I... I'm better." He loked at her with pleading eyes, needing her to understand. "I had to... I had to work to get better. And I did. I am. I'm okay. I'm clean."

temperance was bored, not being able to leave this town was beginning to take its toll on the brunette special child. to pass the time by, she decided to serve herself since the other bartenders were too busy. with ease, her slim arm reached over the counter and took the best bottle of tequila they had –– with a little flirting, she was able to convince the DJ to play tunes she could dance to. about a half a bottle later, she was definitely feeling it and the dancing followed suit.

Liam felt a slow grin pull at his lips as he made his way to the brunette. He expected her to be angry, of course. It had been.. Well, it had been a long time. "Temperance."

Liam watched for a moment and then nodded before going "Do you want ice buddy?" as a grin stretched over his face. He already liked this guy.

Liam had been absent from his family for a while now. He knew that. He felt bad. But he had to work on himself. He had to make things right. And he did. He hoped. Holed up in a hotel for ages, staying clean, dealing with the guilt and the pain. And it sucked. Every moment of it was so painful that he had thought about just fucking ending it. But now... He hadn't been addicted to anything. But he had needed the comfort and the escape. Now that he dealt with his demons, he hoped that he could be clean. He hoped he could maybe even indulge sometimes without making problems for himself. And everyone else.

But... Now he actually felt human again. He walked down the street with his hands in his pockets but once he heard a voice, he turned, eyes narrowing as he tried to figure out if it was for him. It wasn't. But the next one was. He turned again, speaking before even focusing in on the person, "Can I help?"

It had been incredibly unsettling to lose control of her powers and was about fifty percent of the reason she’d gone into self imposed seclusion for a handful of days. The other fifty percent was the unexpected connection with someone else trapped within the little town. So when she finally showed her face, it was at the local diner. The wait was decent given the fact that it was the middle of the week, but she was craving a nice breakfast and decent cup of coffee. “Worth the wait. Even if it is reaching an ungodly length.”

Liam sat down across from her with a grin. “Well, well, loo at you baby sister. Out and about. Nice to see your pretty face.”

“Fine…” She whispered, damn it she was shaking. Was it anger or fear? She couldn’t tell herself. “But-you better get every inch clean and explain to me everything-everything Liam. Not one word out!” She exclaimed, and she listened to her brother for once going inside. 

Liam cleaned the window quickly before gong inside, his eyes landing on his sister. “June, I think...” He cleared his throat. “I told you about my coven. I think someone survived, or someone had a resurrection spell in place.” James. His throat tightened at the thought. “I think that message was meant for me.”

“A drink… a drink would be much appreciated.” She replied, offering her brother a grateful smile. Explaining what had transpired - why she’d up and left, wouldn’t necessarily be the most thrilling thing, especially when she didn’t have a good, valid reason. “I’m glad you’re alright, so tell me whats been happening and in the mean time.. point us in the direction of the nearest bar.”

Liam gave her a small smile. “okay, but listen. I haven’t exactly got a lot to be proud of. It’s been a rough few years.” He nodded down the road. “Want to go get a drink? Might be a good way to get into it all, for both of us.”

“You have a sister?”, Kieran questioned, not having heard about any siblings of Liam’s before just now. “Me too”, he then said, the words having slipped out before he had a chance to catch them and upon realization of what he actually said, Kieran froze for a moment before clearing his throat. “-She sounds like a cunt”, he then said, purposely changing the topic from potentially going to his sister. “I mean, what you do with your body is no one else’s business, least of all your ex or sister’s”, Kieran pointed out before taking the spliff back from Liam as he sighed at the question of the situation with his ex.

“He’s a fucking dick, that’s the situation”, he said before taking a long drag from the spliff and keeping the smoke in his lungs for a few seconds before exhaling. “-He quit drugs outta nowhere and then got pissy with me for not quitting and threw me out even when he knew I had nowhere else to live”, he said with a sarcastic smile.

Liam looked at him for a long moment before nodding. “Two. They’re twins, younger than me.” He actually flinched when Kieran swore about Gen. “I- She’s not.” He cleared his throat. “I mean. She’s just... She loves me, but the problem is she loves who I was not who I am now.”

Liam took the spliff back from his friend and took a hit. “He kicked out out? That’s as cold as it gets. I mean... I’m guessing he was worried about you but still. It hardly makes sense to throw you out. What an ass man.”

“No-” She said shaking her head. “No!” She repeated more firmly to him, almost angrily. “I-or we-have to clean this up! Now, because Melody comes home in a few hours and she can’t see this Liam It doesn’t matter who it was meant for right now what matters is getting rid of it!” June exclaimed. It wasn’t the whole truth, of course it mattered that it was meant for someone, that someone did this to probably get at Liam, but currently Melody was her top concern. 

Liam shook his head. “June, get inside!” He grabbed her hand and pulled her to the door. “Please June. Please. Go inside. I will clean this. I can do it in no time, June, I’m a witch. I can do this. Please June. I’ll explain when I’m done. But please go inside where its safe.”

Do you wish you were around when June got pregnant? What would you of done?

Yes. I wish I was there. I would have gotten her ice cream at four am, I would have held her hair when she got sick, I would have comforted her when she was overwhelmed, I would have been at Mel’s birth. I wish I had been there. I’d give anything to have been there.

No, not really. I don’t think her being a vampire is any harder or more complicated. I mean, I’m not human either.
