ASH IS IMMORTAL??!!!?!? Is this old news or why is no one freaking out? I literally had been wondering how Ash could be taken as a serious candidat as king when he was only half fae which I thought meant he was mortal? Aren’t Mark and Helen mortal? Or do I need to reread all the books?

Last year, I befriended a Catholic seminarian. We've gotten to be pretty decent friends. Seeing as he was staying in town for the summer and I wasn't, I entrusted him with caring for my plant.

He did a wonderful job, but as he was returning my plant to my custody, he explained "I watered her every other day, I gave her new dirt, moved her into the sunshine, prayed the rosary-"

"What?"

He looked at me, confused. "Isn't she a plant you pray with?"

"No," I said slowly. "She's a prayer plant. That's the... colloquial name of the plant."

Upon seeing his stricken face, I realized something went wrong. Turns out, this entire time, he's been including my plant in on his prayers and leaving her near icons.

Listen, totally cool. My plant becoming Catholic is a great deal for her not dying over the summer. But now I must navigate this interfaith household. Keep me in your thoughts.

I’m totally upset about the decision to give Kit and Ty a “new name” TEN YEARS AFTER the fandom had already named them both. It’s been ten years of creating content about this couple online, ten years of waiting for it to become canon, ten years of waiting for them to get their own trilogy—which had been promised FOR them, and we’re already seeing those plans change with the unsolicited arrival of Ash —and then, ten years later, they still want to change the name of the ship that fans gave them and that fans have kept alive. It’s controversial, to say the least, especially with the comment restrictions. The fandom named the couple naturally and organically ten years ago. For ten years, we’ve been able to find fanfics, fan art, and edits without any trouble, even with very little new content featuring them. If we’ve managed to keep this alive for ten years without any issues, I guarantee we’d continue to keep it alive for another ten years without anyone getting lost along the way either. A ship’s name signifies emotional attachment, not just arbitrary choices. It will always be “Kitty.”
