Airyana stared at the broken down property in front of her, tucking her finger under her chin. "Well...it's not exactly what the advert online showed in their photos. But....it'll do for now." The property was cheap on rent and was what she could afford while moving across state lines to a new town. The location was different than the gritty city streets she was used to. Cozy living was definitely going to be something to get used to. She turned on her heels and her dark browns studied the area around her, watching the people hustle by. "Everything I need is pretty close, so that's a good sign I made the right choice."
The businesses surrounding her consisted of: florist, hair salon, a few restaurants, clothing store, and antique shop. Gaze drifted towards L'Armoire and settled on a dark headed female browsing the racks placed outside. Studying her at a distance, she seemed so confident and this was showcased in her physical appearance as well as demeanor. Taking a breath, Airyana slowly approached the same rack, looking over the dress on the mannequin in front of them. "I don't think I'd ever look good in something red. But it sure is a beautiful dress." The female looked to her and cracked a half smile. "I love red. Red and blacks, mostly. Always a staple of every outfit I create." They two turned towards each other now, as if they knew each other were safe. "I haven't seen you around before, you must be new. It's a big area but not that big, if you get me." Airyana nodded and gave her a full smile, "Yeah, I just moved into the rental back there-" She motioned behind her and watched their eye follow her direction before coming back to her. "Oh, that dump? I hope you can fix it up, it's been a while since that old man lived there. His kids stopped caring about it, was probably too hurtful to look at it or something." The blonde nodded, listening to her speak, realizing they never actually introduced themselves. "I'm Airyana, by the way." She extended her hand out and the other accepted the gesture, giving a relaxed shake. "Tara! Nice to meet you. Oh! I assume you don't have a job yet? There's a lot of places hiring right now, anything in mind?" Airyana dropped her hand and placed it at her hip in quick thought. "I did hair back in the city-" Tara interrupted in excitement, "That's perfect, actually! We're hiring at Headlines and we're quick to respond, you should put in an application." Motioning towards the building, Airyana nodded. "I'll have to do that! But I think I need to get something to eat first! The train ride was very long!" Tara chuckled and nodded, "You should check out the pizza spot some time, it's my favorite. But I'll see you around, Ari!"
The two women dispersed from one another. It was nice to start meeting people and lay down new roots. Airyana looked up at the L'Armoire sign on the front of the building and smiled. "I need food but...I would like to see what kind of clothes these cozy folk wear around here." She thought back to Tara's outfit, wondering if she ordered clothing from online shops since she'd assume they wouldn't have that kind of aesthetic anywhere here. Entering the building, she looked around at all the different clothing options hanging from racks, folded on shelves, and styled on mannequins. "Not too bad...some of this is cute." An employee approached her as she was staring at one outfit, "Are you looking for anything specific?" Airyana shook her head, yet she pointed at the mannequin in front of her. "This outfit is cute, do you have any of the skirts in a different shade?" Te clerk nodded and took her to one of the shelves. "Here you go. And if you need to try anything on there are dressing rooms and more options downstairs. Just let me know when you're ready to check out." She watched the employee disappear into the back room before picking out a few pieces for a full outfit. Taking the items downstairs, she found an open dressing room and changed into what she picked out. Out on the main floor, she checked herself out in the mirror, primping and prodding at herself. "This will work for me. It's not what I'm used to but maybe I can get some deliveries for what I like to wear once I secure a job and some money."
Airyana changed back into her original clothing and folded up the items she was going to by, laying them on a nearby accent chair. In the middle of the room was a display of formal wear. The tuxedos were tailored well, and the dresses were breathtaking. She couldn't stop looking at a red evening gown presented right there in front of her eyes. As if it was done intentionally for her arrival. Sighing, she thought back to Tara. "She could pull this off..." Head tilted and she imagined herself beneath the fabric. "Where would I wear this if I were to even try red?" Shaking her head, she straightened up, grabbing the clothes and heading upstairs to pay for them. As she stood in line, her stomach began to growl. Looking around, she placed her hand against her abdomen. Pizza, let's get the pizza.
