What's the deal with Renclair having a mentor?
Why does Riensang mention Ryoshu running away from home if she never did?
Looking at the hotfix mess, it seem the decision to make HoS Ryoshu in the same mirror world as the other sinners was such a late decision that prior IDs like Renclair were written and shipped out with the "separate worlds" plan in mind. I do think this should be considered often when talking about the intent behind most of the writing decisions.
Why would sharing a world with apprentices make sense in the first place?
She's locked in Time Prison for so long the nursefathers… got bored?
The Thumb created Araya in the limbus timeline as a means of a "just in case" backup option which means Ryoshu doesn't have to be MIA for everyone to start getting ideas.
Why does Ryoshu have zero connection to Ren in particular compared to the other apprentices?
When I first saw the flavor text I thought she was referencing the whole "you got sliced from reality in this world" thing. Which I don't think is right. Then again she recognizes Sora on her index device alone which is also a trait Rien shares, meaning there's at least something she could grasp there that she couldn't with Ren… It's this or Renclair was unceremoniously retconned out of existence lol
So Ryoshu can just. Do That? Be both Stars, have both powers, eat two cakes???
Shiomi's role in having Ryoshu is so integral to the HoS's Big Plan, and there is no alternative explanation for Ryoshu's existence in the story. so my assumption is that Shiomi did exist, but both of them were subject to Weird Entanglement Things that resulted in Ryoshu inheriting the Dihui Star's powers(including the entanglement sensitivity that allows her to develop as the HoS planned), either by weird inheritance-osmosis or the two of them "becoming one" with each other somehow.
The whole "Dante's perception of sinners can conjure up basically whatever world they want" is the cop-out answer to all of these questions btw but it IS a factor. Probably.
So what of Araya.
What of Araya.
Ryoshu is Shiomi aka Dihui Star aka Araya (this is a cry for help) so I imagine Ryoshu looked through her mirror world threads and kinda just. Yanked some stuff (personality, wardrobe, etc) from her along with the rest of the Dihui things.
Some earlier things I said about Shiomi could theoretically also apply to Araya but I think that'd require a lot more mental gymnastics to justify because the main point of this ID is that there are ZERO traces of Araya anywhere in the HoS. No Spider's Thread to latch onto.
