06.02.2018. 🦉 It's weekly logbook time. I don't even know why those are graded, they're like 3% each, but it's easy points. feat. my owl teapot (earl grey) and cheapo but oh so useful chromebook.
hello tumblr! last october i started offering tarot readings as a way to supplement my monthly allowance, seeing as living by myself and being a full-time student often comes with too many expenses. i wasn’t prepared for the overwhelmingly positive feedback i got — upwards of 30 readings successfully done, all with very satisfied customers, several of whom came back for new readings! given this, i’m continuing it into 2018, so if you’d like your own reading…
how to get your reading:
choose the deck you’d like: the wild unknown* // animal spirit oracle // smith-waite centennial* // paulina // victorian fairy // llewellyn* // mucha // golden botticelli* (* denotes my personal favourites/the ones i read the best with)
send me a chat message with your question or asking for a general reading (please don’t send asks on anon! i will not publish or divulge the content of any message i receive)
payment can be done one of two ways(keep in mind i’ll only proceed to the reading once the prepayment is received):
pay what you can afford: anything is welcome, if you feel the reading’s worth $15 then go for it, but if you can only contribute $2 that’s perfectly okay too!
buy me a coffee through ko-fi, which is a simplified payment option that works with paypal as well
questions to ask in a reading:
you can request anything ranging from a general reading (as in, what’s in store in the near future) to very specific matters that are currently on your mind, such as fears, family, relationships, education, self-improvement, etc!
please refrain from requesting medical or legal advice, and questions pertaining to the dead or spiritual entities
either way you’re guaranteed an in-depth reading with 5-10 cards by a reader with over 5 years of experience, including a full pdf text with the interpretation of each card and a photo of the layout 🌟 if you can’t contribute i appreciate if you could reblog and spread the word!
the queue is empty, loves! i’ll be taking a week off after the 10th as i’ll be visiting home, so if you want a special valentines reading (or a general one, that’s lovely too!) get yours now 🌟

Can I get a wave from fellow interning studyblrs?
I'm currently wading through the unfamiliar waters of practicum/internships, keeping up with graded journals and a report that's looming ever closer, and I figure I can't be the only one!
Whatever the field you're in, I wanna follow some people going through the same beautiful hell, people who aren't facing exams but deadlines instead.
Where are you my lovelies?

Pet peeve: Medical students who go on about medicine being the ‘hardest’ degree and act like it’s the best, most important thing someone can do. That kind of intellectual snobbery is just so annoying. You’re not better than other people who study other subjects or do different careers.
Medicine isn’t ‘the top’ (as I’ve seen some people and posts on tumblr say), it’s a certain career path that we have chosen. Most people just don’t want to be doctors, ya know? Your ‘top’ goal may be medicine, but that doesn’t mean it’s the same for everyone.
Of course studying medicine is hard work. I find it hard, I have to study a lot, I sometimes find it difficult to balance things. But you know what I’d find harder? A physics degree. The complex science they have to learn goes way beyond what we learn in med school. Or an English degree, because I suck at writing essays. Or a nursing degree, because even in their first year they have so many hours of placement and have to do night shifts. Or going to study for a year in freaking JAPAN like my friend did. Or being a policewoman. Etc. Most career choices/degrees are hard in their own way and give different challenges.
It’s fine to be proud of studying medicine. I am. Just not so much that it blinds you to the hard work and challenges of others, and not so much that you become one of those, as we call here in Britain, ‘medic wankers’.

30.01.2018. // This is my new home, my practicum’s middle/high school library!! 📚 Feels weird to be in high school again, but I’m enjoying the experience very much. I get to make displays, purchases, cataloguing and to think like a teenager. Helps that I’m much closer in age than my supervisor. 😅
