Kitting Spell for Weight Loss
Knitting Spell for Weight Loss
Hello every one! As you have seen recently I’ve shared information about Knitting Magic! I’m an avid knitter and I’ve seen a couple of time the mention of Knitting spell. I’ve never looked into it until these couple of weeks. Since October I started my weight loss journey and I have to admit it is going pretty smoothly at the moment.
Sometime I have huge cravings, especially around 6PM (I usually ate diner at 8PM). I loose all rationality and all I want is eating shortbreads and cookies. I thought that this situation would be perfect for a knitting spell! I tried it without any expectations (and if I have to be honest I was even a bit sceptical…). Here is what I have done:
I wanted to knit myself a giant scarf that is a bit more chic and classy that the one I have right now (I knitted it 15 years ago, it’s more of a emo teen scarf… I love it but I want something more chic and that scratch less)
I made research about colour magic and I chose to do it in 2 colours
Pink for self-love, self care, and nurturing (a healthy relationship with my body)
Purple for Breaking barriers, breaking habits, and luck
I chose the softest, warmest wool I could find in the shop. It was not cheap but totally worth it!
Rowan Baby Merino Silk DK in Dust Rose and Purple (66% Merino wool and 34% Silk)
Rowan Kidsilk haze in Dust Rose and Purple (it’s almost burgundy I love it) ( 70% Mohair and 30& Silk)
Now to the fun part: the knitting!
I repeat in my head a mantra at every stitch I make . A simple sentence full of meaning. For me it’s “Je maigris” (I’m loosing weight in French)
Knitting is a bit like meditation: I have to stay focus on one repetitive task and hence forget all the rest. When I repeat to myself this mantra, at first I was thinking “This is silly” but after 2 rows, I was completely calm and also I started to really believe that I was able to loose weight.
For this scarf I knit every time I start to feel the craving. Usually the craving go away after 2 rows.
Now it’s been a week that I do this spell and I make it a ritual. When I knit I lit white candles (I’m going to buy black candles to banish the cravings even more) and I like to have some crystals near me. Rose quartz for self love and Labradorite for determination and protection.
This knitting spell is really changing my way of thinking. The more I do it the more I truly and deeply believe that I can make this happen. It has never happened to me before. I’ve always thought that I was a lost cause, but not this time!
This spell really help me in my weight loss journey. Of course it is combined with a healthy diet and I do physical activity every day. Also I think it can be powerful for someone that it trying to quit smoking
I hope this little knitting spell can help you in any way. I cannot wait to share the result with you guys of my finished scarf!

just start. do a single math problem out of the 20 you have. one page of reading and youre done. try to just place one item where it belongs. research that one thing you need for your paper. go over a powerpoint slide for that lecture youre confused in.
i promise you doing one single action feels better than doing nothing at all. take 5 minutes to do just one small task thats been staying in the back of your head.
I never wish to be easily defined. I’d rather float over other people’s minds as something strictly fluid and non-perceivable; more like a transparent, paradoxically iridescent creature rather than an actual person.

Yes, please.
Growth is painful. Change is painful. But nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don’t belong.

It is also November. The noons are more laconic and the sundowns sterner. November always seemed to me the Norway of the year.—Where is Love to-day?

Maybe in this season, drunk and sentimental, I’m willing to admit a part of me, crazed and kamikaze, ripe for anarchy, loves still.

Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard. Do not let pain make you hate. Do not let the bitterness steal your sweetness. Take pride that even though the rest of the world may disagree, you still believe it to be a beautiful place. Kurt Vonnegut
