Click for quality :)) Does anyone else have lecturers who don't follow the normal procedure for lectures? I have this one lecturer who won't record herself, but only puts sound bites onto the PowerPoint. 'Tis very annoying.

It has been a long time coming, but I'm finally back at my desk in Magdalene College Cambridge. Please ignore the state of the window - I'm on the top floor and there is no way to clean the outside of them from where I am 😅.

Hi guys! I have been absolutely flooded with work this week (two essays and who even knows how much reading), so I've dug into my camera roll and found an old picture - hope you still enjoy!

Click for quality :) Have you ever read something and understood absolutely none of it? Any solutions for how to understand it? I have to complete some reading for a class on Monday and I am so glad I started early. The article we have to read makes no sense at all - academese has really hit.

Click for quality :) Nothing like a good bit of drama to brighten up a rainy day! I am absolutely loving these recorded Globe Theatre performances - reminds me that a play was never meant just to be read!

I've been loving seeing all these pictures of study spaces and study layouts, so I thought I'd share my most typical one at the moment! Almost daily I have my massive Complete Works of Shakespeare on my left and my computer ready for note taking on the right. Do you guys have a specific layout you're loving at the moment?

Click for quality :) The history plays by Shakespeare are incredible! I've never been too interested in them, always focusing on tragedies or comedies. But they're actually really enjoyable when you watch a performance on stage. If you're at university, you might be able to get access to dramaonlinelibrary.com - it's got a whole bunch of recorded performances of plays (not just Shakespeare's!). Not the same thing as a real performance, but as good as we can get right now!

Click for quality :) Lil study hack for you guys - use comic sans when writing or planning academic work! I find it convinces myself that what I'm doing isn't vitally important (because who can take comic sans seriously) and as a result I leave all that stress and panic before I even start writing. I would highly recommend you try it if you're struggling!

Click for quality :) All the study tabs! I am getting really into this book called ‘Turn-taking in Shakespeare’. If you’re interested in speaking, how we speak, how that translates into dialogue in plays, and a new take on Shakespeare, I would highly recommend it!
