â let's enjoy a blood-stained day
âMâŠMinatsuki?â
That exceptionally intelligent question was all the youth could form right now. Less of a question and more of a confirmation, really. As if Yoh could ever forget what she looked like. The shape of her face, which was all that really mirrored his own features. Her hair, still cut short. The color of her eyes. That look of shock was familiar, too, if only for what he could see creeping at the edges of it.
Anger.
Yoh didnât know how to react. He had been hoping his sister would be at least indifferent to his appearance when they finally met. He didnât know why he wasnât expecting anger, though. Minatsukiâs mood was hardly as predictable as the perennials she so coveted, and certainly not so benevolent.Â
Being at the receiving end of one of these moods was not what he had in mind today, but he had ridden the train for three hours to get here on nothing but a hunch. He couldnât just back out, even if doing so would save him from a lot of pain, and maybe death.
Despite this determination, Yoh made no move to get nearer to her. Minatsuki had already dropped a primrose, and he knew that was one of her favorites. She was mad enough. He did his best to keep the relieved grin off his face, but it may have slipped out as a twitch of the lips.Â
Because even if she hated him, even if she never wanted to see him after this, it was enough to know that Minatsuki was alive and free. For now, anyway.
Senses now more sharp than ever, she zeroed in on her brother. He hadn't changed much since she'd last seen him-- but of course, that was to be expected. Emerald eyes were now near slits, lips turned downward slightly in an angry frown. Minatsuki's stance clearly portrayed her emotions, her hands curled into fists with a small trembling.
MâŠMinatsuki?
She did not share his relief, oh no. Unfortunately for him, it was quite the opposite. Not that he'd care, though. Damned sister-complex freak. Yoh was most likely used to her sudden mood swings, sparked by something so minute. And this time, it was merely his presence.
The brunette did not care for anyone in the world, if only to personally benefit. Other than that, every single person she encountered that managed to agitate the girl in any way was on her hit list, her own sibling included. No, she didn't care whether he got hurt or not-- in fact, she'd deliver the blows herself if given the valuable chance. "You really should leave me alone, fucking freak. Seeing you isn't on my agenda today."
The primrose lay discarded, as she walked through the spilled soil towards the taller blonde. It didn't look like this meeting was going to end well.
