Sharing Hope in Hard Times - Seeking His Face
Scripture Reading: 1 Philippians 1:19-24
19 for I know that through your prayers and God’s provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance.[a] 20 I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. 21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. 22 If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! 23 I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; 24 but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body.
Key Verse: Philippians 1:20
"When you live above the hardness of your circumstances as Paul did, God will protect and keep you. He will also preserve the message of hope He has commanded you to take to a lost and dying world. Don't let others' criticism keep you from obeying God. When you feel discouraged, go to Him. Ask Him to plant Scripture in your heart, so you may experience His hope in a desperate times and share that hope with others."
Prayer: "Lord, use me for Your kingdom purposes. Plant Your Word in heart so I can share hope with others."
Note: Jesus is the Hope that we have in our lives, He lives in our heart. Let's share this hope to others that we see and meet this week. Let us be a church that has the light of hope always on. May God bless us and guide us this new week.
