I realized what I don't like about Lord's actions in the last episode.
He's not seeking revenge. He's simply continuing what he started in AvA5 (well, is that still, like, sowing chaos wherever possible??)
And it's not bad that he's continuing his old goal, no questions asked, I'm all for it, it's logical and fair. BUT
WHY DOES LORD NOT CARE SO MUCH ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED IN AvA5????
He has practically ZERO reaction to Chosen, who was actually his only friend for seven years and who, for no reason (from Lord's perspective), betrayed him, after which they haven't seen each other for five years!
Why does Lord have zero reaction to Second, who was the one who ruined his plan last time??? Lord is simply using him as a tool, but doesn't even gloat, doesn't enjoy the moment of power and retribution against him.
How did you manage to make him so emotionless???? Why does he care so much about HIS past???
Why the fuck are all the good villains allowed to freak out, cry, and get angry, but Lord isn't allowed, aaaarrggghhh.
Do you even realize that Alan kind of fed us villains with revenge motivations twice, even though he could have come up with absolutely any other motivation for their evil deeds, and Alan didn't give a damn about a character whose existing background really begs to develop into a revenge arc against his abusers.
The complete lack of emotional reaction to what happened in the past makes Lord so flat in Ava6; his goals simply lose weight and meaning.
In Ava5, it was perfectly logical to conclude that Lord was simply raising the stakes for their merry pogroms with Chosen. He had an emotional connection to his goal. It was evil for the sake of evil, but it was aimed at gaining emotion and spending time with a friend! Now, of course, you can say that Lord is moving toward completion and all that, but such an important and piquant part is simply ignored by Alan and not revealed, which has a very sad and unpleasant impact on Lord's personality. He simply has no emotions anymore. He's cardboard and empty.
I'd like to believe that the next episode will be better in this regard, but it's highly unlikely.
I do not know how it was possible to screw up like that.
Why do events change so quickly?! Why is the lie of the lord being revealed SO QUICKLY!? IF VIC DOESN'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THE LORD'S METHODS, THEN WHY NOT MAKE THEM REAL ALLIES INSTEAD OF TURNING VIC INTO A DUMB ZOMBIE!? Let the damn lord be a real manipulator! Let Vic make mistakes! why is the main villain's plan built and running on some dumb unlikely accidents? this episode totally sucks, in which the potential of the two characters separately and the potential of their duo was lost. And Vic, with his super handy random abilities, damn, what the hell. I haven't been this upset since the completion of the King's Arc in AvM.
I love this preview so much. Firstly, the Lord did not lie and kept his promise to Vic that he would resurrect Mitsi, he is honest, he has principles. Secondly, Vic DOESN't give a damn about Lord's methods. A scary machine is sucking the energy out of the child, and all Vic is thinking about at the moment is that Mitsi will be alive, he's even preparing her wreath for greeting! I'm thrilled. I'm so glad that both Lord and Vic have completely lost their moral compass.

I missed my Happy End au*, so here are some headcanons for the relationship behavior of the Old Trio in this au 👇👇
Chosen is the main romantic. He loves beautiful gestures of affection, but for a long time he was afraid to do them because he thought he would look stupid and inappropriate in a romantic setting, and that his mere presence would ruin everything. His favorite type of date is a picnic, and his favorite romantic gesture is a bouquet of flowers (receiving > giving)
Chosen also loves cute, almost saccharine nicknames. Vic cringes at it. Lord laughs, but overall he likes it
Both Chosen and Lord are very tactile; physical contact is important to them both (Chosen more so, it's his main love language and, in general, his language for expressing feelings and emotions). They are so tactile that even before their relationship, they slept in the same "bed" and didn't see anything wrong with it. But Vic isn't used to constant touching and such close physical contact
Chosen is possessive and incredibly jealous, so he will shamelessly publicly display attention to his partners, especially if he senses even the slightest competition
For Lord, love is always bordering on obsession; his partner is his world. He's ready to do literally anything for his partner, and his partner doesn't even have to directly express their desires. He tends to imagine what would be best for his partner, regardless of how much it truly reflects their partner's needs and desires
I generally think that Lord has some issues with self-identification and his own subjectivity. He very easily adopts the behavioral and character patterns of those he likes, which is why he and Chosen are much more similar than it might seem at first glance. Lord wants to dissolve into his partner, get under their skin, pull their skin over himself, be close, be one with them
And from this it follows that for Lord, intimacy becomes one of the most important components of a relationship. For him, it's the only way to become as close as possible to his partner in the moment, to achieve that much-desired fusion of souls, bodies, emotions, feelings, and sensations
Vic has a very quiet and calm love, unlike these two. He rarely gives compliments, rarely does anything obviously romantic, he doesn't particularly like holding hands without a reason, and in principle, touching each other unnecessarily is alien to him. But Vic is attentive to detail, he's observant, and he remembers all the little details of his partners' behavior well. He's calculating and caring. In short, his love language is "Acts of service"
Chos can bite from an excess of feelings. Lord can bite just for fun. Vic doesn't want to be bitten😩

*Just in case, I'll say that the Happy End AU appeared long before the release of AvA6(or 9 accord to actual numbering) and Vic's official return to the story, so the backgrounds of canon!Vic and HE!Vic are different, and their personalities are also different (there was no farm, factory, or dead woman, Vic just died at the end of Ava1 lol)

Actually, I really wish we could get an unambiguous hint that Chosen missed Lord, after all, they've been close to each other for 7 years.
