Telling your story is a way to invite people into the intimate parts of your life. It’s okay to talk about you. It’s okay to share the good parts of your life and the bad parts that tries to remove your strength for the world. Please tell your story, it WILL inspire someone to keep going. A piece of my story is below: . . . I’ve been fighting depression & anxiety for as long as I can remember. I didn’t know what it was or how to deal with it so I infused it with my personality. There were times I’ve conquered and came out without a visit to the hospital for suicide attempts and there has been times I’ve been pressed so deep that I couldn’t see the light at the top of the well. Hope.....Buried. Confidence....Buried. Faith....Buried. Digging myself out felt impossible because all I would see was the trauma of my generation holding me by the throat laughing in my face. The anger and fear of my pain bullied me until I decided to give up and try to commit suicide. I needed help digging. Some people helped and some didn’t. I was determined to focused on getting out of the pit. I got out will the resilience to keep going. . . . People will measure your worth based on their life’s capacity. We tend to do the same by measuring way we have, who we have and what we haven’t accomplished. We aren’t meant to be measured this way. We shouldn’t measure others this way either. God measures our worth by the capacity of his love...which is unlimited, forgiving, filled with patience, and sooo much more. We are breathing the worthy breathe of life. We should measure ourselves and others through the capacity of love. There is a difference between allowing access and allowing love. Love & Life is given to us for a reason.
