PSA: overfeeding your child is child abuse
Just like with your pets, having a fat kid is a reflection on you as a person. Don’t feed your kid junk. No kid deserves to have their childhood stolen by obesity. Believe me. And no amount of cutesy, dumb sounding shit about tummies and how you need to be obese for your belly to accomodate your organs and delusional crap like that will make this better.
I still pay the price of being overfed like a trash can 20 years later.
Time I realize I can't lift like I used to.
I used to go to target and ULTA and Sephora and any other store, take anything from 5 to 500 dollars worth. But now at 21, it's just not worth the risk to lift as much. Also I make money hoeing, so I can buy any of the products I lift I just hate spending money. I might do one or two items here and there, but no more forking my purse and walking out, the consequences are too great. 😒

So this is my first tumblr post, but I’ve been doing this for years. And today is the first day I fucked up.
I went to Forever 21, Torrid, Earthbound Trading, a lingerie store, Victoria Secret, then Old Navy.
Total: $352.85
Went pretty well easy pickings. Then I bought a top from torrid (not pictured), to get a huge bag, then filled up from there.
I got to old navy, after being annoyed and stressed and just started filling up the bag. Nothing special, simple stuff. Then I pick up a sweater. There’s a beep in the store. It was so weird so i quickly stuffed it in and prepared to leave. I didn’t see one associate, and walked calmly but briskly to the door, where I set off the sensors. Thank God the sound was so low. And I just kept going into the mall and out the mall door, it wasn’t even the side of the mall my cat was parked on but I was too scared to be inside the mall before. I’ve taken thousands, and never set off a sensor before.
I get home, to check the bag, and see that red sweater in the top right corner of the pic has a sensor on it that I didn’t see in store. Fuck me. I thought I was checking well but I was so spooked I didn’t notice. It’s a cute sweater so I need to get it off 😂😂😂😂

Lifting once doesn’t mean I’m too dumb to know how to conceal without getting caught, it means I’m smart enough to know my limitations and avoid getting fucked because I got cocky thinking that grand theft larceny was nbd because some talented lifter on Tumblr made it seem that way.
I’m Black. I have no car. I live in a small town. I have very noticible features. I’m over the age of 18. Five. Fucking. Strikes. If a video clip of me lifting were to show up on the local 10'oclock news, everyone in a 200 mile radius would know who I was and I’d be sitting in jail right now getting fucked with a broom handle.
I’m going to take the advice of lifters who have been lifting for years, the ones who haven’t been caught. Its really weird how people are simutaniously criticizing me because I don’t have pictures of risky $2,000 hauls with descriptions of how an SA ran out after me screaming and snapping pictures with a $3,000 Canon while re-blogging posts about how lifting isn’t a competition.
So yeah, as much as I’d love to say fuck a wig, fuck a car, fuck common sense and hop the bus to steal $1,538.57 worth of foundation and primer from an Ulta 50 miles away I know that my ass would be grass.
So yeah. I still plan on lifting. But getting caught is not an option, and I know that I’m too inexperienced to pull off any significant haul without getting caught and looking like a fool.
I didn’t join this community to impress anyone or tear anyone down, I joined because I’m a cheap anti-Capitalist bitch and ya’ll seemed like cool people, and that maybe if enough of us bounced ideas off of each other we could seriously fuck over rich white white men.

This is me. I'm not going to ruin my life to impress a bunch of people I don't know. My outfitting technique, since I was 12 was always to lift oh small quantities and 75% of the time I but something. I know they think I'm broke just cause I'm black so when I buy 100$ of makeup (that I return at another store) they don't think I lifted along with it. I have to make sure I'm not sloppy looking, and no reading bitch face and super nice, I take 2-12 items and bounce. The only time I've ever been caught was when I got extra greedy at target and style 450$ worth of makeup. Thank God I was let go, I went back to the way I usually hall after that. A few items, buy and get out. Noting flashy, nothing crazy expensive.
Reminder to Lifters
Lifting Hauls on tumblr with 50 eyeshadow palettes is a fad. It’s a one time picture that makes some people jealous. Big flashy palettes, MK and LV bags are huge flashy things YOU DO NOT NEED.
Remember that you shoplift for yourself. Shoplifting is illegal and looked down on in society, and you do it for yourself. You should only lift things that make you happy, not what will make people jealous of you.
Always go at your own speed. If you want to lift only one lip gloss or one nail polish, that is totally fine. You don’t need 100 nail polish, a closet to rival Kim K’s, every Tarte eyeshadow palette. Lifting is your little secret that you do because you love yourself.
Don’t let yourself get lost.

Keep walking. Don’t look back. Don’t follow anyone back into the store unless it’s LP or a cop. Don’t let anyone search you unless it’s LP or a cop. You can say no to LP/Police but you’d be arrested and held until they have a warrant. So not good. This is all just worst case scenario though.

Hey! I'm new to lifting and I've never done it but The JCPenny in my state has changing rooms that has no attendants so if I brought in a shirt or two. Spent some time in there, could I stuff a shirt in a bag from a different place. what do I remove?
You’re going to want to remove the security tag and the paper tags just in case. However, I’ve heard JC Penny is notorious for being near impossible to lift from so I wouldn’t start there. Not that I don’t believe in you, but even I haven’t lifted there

Lifting from JCP isn't very difficult, but yes you do have to be slick, and not suspicious. Actually buying things can help with that, just return them later. Jewelry is easy, clothes too (i don't bother with tagged ones) just make sure you come in with big, box bags with structure over regular bags (go to torrid) underwear is a nice go to, I think I lifted 20 pairs one time (bought another 3 since I spent so much time looking through it)

You can try old navy, if you already have bags from other stores you can drop some stuff in. The way my old navy us set up, the checkout line has the elf stuff while being hidden from the cashiers and it's easy to pick up two of something and put back one.

It was a downtown one, I couldn't find a single camera, not one. I picked up a bunch, then had a SA help me find a good foundation and blush and highlighter. While she was running around and I was sitting in the chair, I stuffed things into my purse slowly, and grabbed a few more before heading into the check out line to buy a eyebrow pencil. I conceal as I go and walked out with no issues, and a tiny shoulder purse. Also after I bought the lipstick I took the brush and stuffed it into the bag, and walked out. No issues
