I PROMISE i’ll post all my art from today (and awhile ago oops) when I can but for now take a placeholder snap!! Of my favorite monster horse!!

She can have as many irises as she chooses and that means she can see in hundreds or thousands of different directions! Very effective and terrifying! She also appears to have a normal mouth until you get too close and then woah! Where did that second mouth compartment come from? Should a pony’s jaw extend back that far??

Her name is Nightmare and u can tell i’m very excited about my murder daughter

Last but not least, here are some current sketches.

I get back into face practice once in awhile. Starting with Hailstorm and Heat Wave, who have pretty standard mare and stallion face shapes. And then Pita, who is by all means thinner and narrower and very pointy.

Ahh, some sketches I started for a mod pony ref that I forgot about! 

It’s been awhile so i’m not sure if this would still be current or not but some brief explanation: 

My mod pony/ponysona’s name is Flash Flood and she’s a kelpie. She prefers her regular pony form, and generally slips into her kelpie form when really irritated, in a bad mood, or super excited. Other times she more willingly takes the form for comfort (this seems to happen a lot when she’s tired but in a positive mood). 

The third sketch shows her kelpie form as it would be swimming. Being submerged in water triggers a kelpie’s magic to make their aquatic traits reappear. These include a dorsal fin, leg and tail fins, the softening of their hooves to reveal webbing between the “toes,” gill slits, and an extra protective eyelid enabling them to see underwater. Their long hair also shortens to make movements easier, and their ears and nostrils have an extra flap that seals to keep water out.

The last form is what i’m not sure i’ll keep around. I do like the explanations and pupose behind it though, so we’ll see! I might just rework the design a bit.
