Hi everyone, I was re-watching Mangrove and noticed a detail that I hadn't noticed before. In this scene:
Is that what I think it is? A wedding ring? It turns out to be a PC Pulley⊠A married man?
There's a part of his personality that's not shown in the movie⊠What he would have been like to his wife in England at that time intrigues me so much that I've been inspired to write a short fanfiction about them in the character x reader format.
@californiablues88, @ghostlybfgf, @orson-pope, what do you think?
is it worth writing fanfiction PC Frank Pulley x wife!reader?
Eugh, what a fucked idea
What a fucked idea! I'm in it
Just write it down. I donât care if it sounds dumb in your head. I donât care if itâs ânot good enoughâ to post. Iâm telling you it IS and if you stick to it somebody somewhere is gonna find it while doom scrolling at 2am and itâs gonna make them enter your world of fantasy where life is okay for a little whileâ€ïž
hotd s3, posters. the greens.
Two photos from my program of Galileo (2006) that I got a hold of featuring Bertie and Sam in the same show way before AKOTSK
Both are about 29 I think but looking so handsome! Just thought I'd share

The Frog-Prince, 1880 by Edward Frederick Brewtnall (English, 1846--1902)
Maekar whipping Daeronâs feet is a good character edge for Maekar to have. Corporal punishment bc Maekar is a soldier and his personality recognizes only pain as a teacher, not realizing that his kids cannot be fixed with brutish âStern Dadâ because he indulges them regardless.
The dad who thinks mental illness and addiction can be fixed by just yelling at you and treating you like a disappointment, who wants you to change but his âI hammer everything in sightâ mindset canât handle something outside of his direct control.
âI know you can change. I know there is a man I can be proud of inside of you.â
Maekar, martial and soldier Maekar, who is coming from a place of believing that Daeron has it in him to be a warrior like himself and Aerion, needing and wanting that to be true because it is what Maekar himself values in a person (the epitome of prizing power and strength in this warrior culture), and also perhaps part of his mindset is that Maekar as the fourthborn is so far down the line of succession that he sees his sons as soldiers whose duty is to protect their House. Maekar has styled himself as the âpure Warrior brotherâ in a way that not even Baelor is because Baelor is both warrior *and* diplomat, whereas Maekar doesnât possess such a derivation from his nature. Maekar is in denial that Daeron is not built to be a warrior. Perhaps he would have had he not been cursed with dragon dreams, but he has.
Maekar is military dad who doesnât believe in depression, just a lack of will. He thinks Daeron is simply weak in spirit, that he hasnât gotten it through his head that the life he is living of wine and whores is unfulfilling and unsightly and if only he would just lock in and find fulfillment in martial skills he would be happier. It certainly would make his father proud. Why doesnât my son understand how cool it is to be a knight and warrior? This is his duty as my firstborn, my heir. He is embarrassing me, embarrassing our family! And donât get me started on how aggrieved this makes Maekar feel when comparing Daeron to Valarr, the perfect firstborn brother with the promising firstborn son. Life for this man is just a series of asking the question âHow hath the gods blighted Maekar this week?â. Maekarâs parenting style is what brings him the grief that is sown later on, make no mistake. The Stern Haughty Targ Supremacist Dad angle is what fucked up Daeron, Aerion, and what wouldâve fucked up Egg had Dunk not come along, and thatâs the rub isnât it. Thatâs the irony and sore spot that every harsh dad doesnât want to confront, that being the harsh stern dad doesnât get you the results in your kids that you want. Thatâs the utter pathetic tragedy of it all.
Aegon II and Daeron the Dreamer if they would be siblings and friends
All the distilleries shudders.
Aegon respects Daeron for not flattering him like his lackeys, and for easily saying "Aegon the drunkard" where others shout "Aegon the Magnanimous.
"It is from Daeron that Aegon hears words of comfort and support if there is Bloodand Cheese happens. Daeron also persuades Aegon to support Helaena in their tragedy.
"I understand how you feel, man. Targcest without love is complete crap."
Daeron loves Helaena like a tough aunt, but he doesn't allow himself to go overboard because she is Aegon's wife.
It's Helaena who helps Daeron understand his gift.
Helaena and Aegon take turns riding Daeron on Sunfire and Dreamfire to strengthen his spirit, like king Aenys
Aegon tells funny stories while Daeron philosophizes.
Daeron: "There's nothing wrong with our parents' marriage. We're family now, after all."Aegon: That's when you catch them fucking each other!"
Yes. Aegon drunkenly wandered into the wrong room and caught Alicent and Maekar making love. He ended up getting hit with a pillow. From Alicent.
They both ended up crying drunken tears.
my two worlds collided
Maekarcent AU, where Daeron and Aegon are half-brothers
It's just coincidence in my Pinterest but...Disney, I'm not hinting at anything, but if this comes across your casting agent's feed, please take note
There's a scene where Dunk goes to talk to Baelor in the solar. That scene is at night, very candle-lit. And then, he goes to talk to Maekar, where it's a completely different feel. It was very deliberate, to make it feel like the castle is colder [after Baelor's death]
A KNIGHT OF THE SEVEN KINGDOMS (A Knight in the Making)
I have a soft spot for polo necks (and what's under them)
âThe amity between her grace and her stepdaughter had proved short livedâŠâ
ok, I need to try make re-edit where Rhaenyra as Milly and Alicent as Olivia interact together
OĐș, ladies, just listen to me: "Dead girl walking" from "Heathers". But Dyanna Dayne as Veronica and Maekar as JD, where Dyanna sneaks into the guest room of Maekar in the dark of the night, who is vacationing in Sunspear, and there... well, you know đ€
