——— the redhead’s lips parted to respond to james’s quip. but the words were lost to her, something that didn’t happen quite often. her gaze diverted from the male for a second before returning to match his. “you know peeves. how can one not lose all their wits around someone so... charming?”

recognizing the redhead from anywhere, bella folded her arms with a smirk on her mouth. she bit her lower lip, trying to control her laughter. “what’s wrong evans? someone finally got on your nerves?” 

——— lily finally got a good look at the person she had stopped in front of. when she was the familiar face, she sighed. “you managed to take the first place prize for that in our first year.”

alice glanced at her friend in sympathy. how many times had she had to untangle gun from her hair or wash mud from her clothes after run ins with that poltergeist? “well, you still have both your eyebrows and your shoes are on the correct feet. so, as far as peeves goes, it could have been worse. one day i’d like to get back at him.”

——— it was usually easy for the gryffindor to ignore the poltergeist. and when she did, he usually left her alone. today he wasn’t haven’t any of that. “he managed to get his hands on some dungbombs. i don’t smell like i’ve been going on a shower strike, do i?”

——— “how can you tell me NOT to worry? remus, the n.e.w.t’s DETERMINE our future! you can say they are far away, but december will be rolling in soon, and then february will be, and then april, and then we’re taking our n.e.w.t’s in june!”

“you haven’t by any chance happened to see a silver cat with blue eyes? answers to the name of adeline?” alice asked with a nervous look on her face. “she got rather cross with me and, well, now i can’t seem to find her. i’m worried she’s going to go tear up a classroom, or a first year’s dorm, or something.“

——— “i’m sorry, i haven’t seen her.” the redhead’s lips pulled into an apologetic line. “we can look for her, though? i have a few of those treats she likes in my dorm left over from last term!”

“I don’t see,” Regulus began with a grimace, “why, out of all of the many empty tables at this library, you decided to sit here.” 

———“you just looked a little bit lonely.” lily placed her parchment and quill on the table before sliding into the seat opposite of regulus, a smile tugging at her lips.

——— lily came to a stop in front of the person, out of breath. green hues settled on the individual and only one word was manageable between her attempts to fill her lungs with air. “peeves.” she glanced over her should to see if the poltergeist had followed her.

aaaaaaah! it’s opening time guys!

lily writes a letter to her sister at least once a week and has been doing so since she started at hogwarts, talking about her classes and friends, and advice (especially when it came to james and his friends), but petunia stopped writing back during lily’s first year.

lily likes doctor who. she was too little to appreciate the first doctor and his grumpiness but the second doctor is an all time favorite of hers because he was her first doctor you know? her second favorite doctor is tom baker (she didn’t like the third doctor – she was still grieving for patrick’s doctor). romana and leela are her favorite companions but she has a special place in her heart for harry sullivan and of course the lovely sarah jane smith.

her first boyfriend tried giving her a petunia when he picked her up for their date and lily broke down in tears because she missed her sister so much, the guy was lost and had no idea what happened and because she hated explaining her situation at home she broke up with him and ignored him for the rest of the school year.

lily is a very advanced potioneer, and during her years at hogwarts slughorn would challenge her with difficult potions when she finished early. one of them was to make a paint that would chance colors every few hours (usually used in houses where the owners wanted to show how powerful they were). after she mastered this potion lily decided to play around with it, and that’s when she made her lipstick. now she only uses one lipstick, but her lips always seem to be a different color – she found a way to apply the magical properties of the paint with cosmetics (cross referencing with witch weekly’s column on how to make your own beauty products). it took her a while (and once or twice she was rushed to the hospital wing – her lips five times the size of a normal person) but she has mastered the potion and shares it with some of her friends.

lily loves quidditch. a huge fan of puddlemore united and the gryffindor quidditch team she knows everything about quidditch. It’s a well known fact that if puddlemore loses everyone should give lily her space because if you say the wrong time it’s likely she will explode. she even plays it – but she wasn’t good enough to make it into the final cut for the gryffindor quidditch team (her preferred position is chaser but from time to time she likes to play as keeper). it would have been awesome, she would have gotten to experience the feeling of having a whole stadium cheer for you (which girl hasn’t imagined that once in her life?)
