I wonder how long it takes to colorize each one?
The lesson here ladies - that surfer selling his invention out of the back of his van in Southern California just might be the next self-made billionaire.
I didn't know that GoPro was the best-selling camera of all time. So "stoked!" that I found this video. ;-)
I can't get enough Wes Anderson.
Prada has partnered with Anderson to create a branded short called Castello Cavalcanti about a brash race car driver played, of course, by Jason Schwartzman.
I am not really a fan of Lily Allen but I like her attempt to draw attention to music industry sexism and I am glad she referenced Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" video which is the most sexist thing I have seen in a LONG time.
However, when does an ironic sexist act become an actual sexist act? It's hard to know where to draw that line.
"Above all, love." "But I am there, in the light through the branches."
I stumbled upon this beautifully shot Vimeo Staff Pick and really liked the message and thought it was topical considering that yesterday was Veteran's Day.
"In a world where 'everyone is a photographer' today’s emerging photographers now must be “visual wordsmiths” with either a clear didactic or an esoteric imperitive. Be a poet, not a technical 'writer.'"
You must have something to SAY.
And don't forget to “keep a good head and always carry a light bulb.”
"Is it worth giving up what I have to look for something better? I don’t know—is it? Who can make that decision but you? But even by DECIDING TO LOOK, you go a long way toward making the choice."
"It is not necessary to accept the choices handed down to you by life as you know it. There is more to it than that — no one HAS to do something he doesn’t want to do for the rest of his life."
I am a huge Wes Anderson fan and absolutely loved SNL's parody of his movies on last week's episode. Alex Buono, Saturday Night Live's Director of Photography, gives insight to the last-minute production of The Midnight Coterie of Sinister Intruders.
Extremely technical camera and lighting jargon, set decoration decisions, lessons on aspect ratio, AND a Wes Anderson homage make for my perfect first blog post!
