So I thought y'all would like this too This great white comes to the jersey shore every year and this year they named her and have been tracking her hella so this is Mary Lee and she decided to show herself under this rainbow for pride month A true gay icon
#This is the representation I’ve been looking for
“My baby and his girlfriend 💙”
(A caption on Sally Jackson’s Facebook post probably)
(Click for better quality <3)
My “WIP” is now coloured!
Listen… if you want clean crisp lineart, you’re in the wrong place lmao. I sorta, maybe clean up and sketch and call ‘er a day.
Like I’ve said before, Sally has a whole album of these two snuggling. Plus, she definitely put a #bonusdaughter on that FB post!!
Annabeth is her baby too guys 😭😭
Something that always baffles me when reading The Mark of Athena is when Annabeth mentions that she has to overcompensate just to be acknowledged as smart outside of her looks. And the same thing shows up in the TV series.
Because when you actually think about it, Annabeth Chase’s intelligence is not just “Athena kid = booksmart.” That’s such a shallow way to frame it.
Annabeth has dyslexia and ADHD, which in the demigod universe are literally neurological traits wired for battle. And she doesn’t just cope with them—she weaponizes them.
Her intelligence is layered:
• She can read and study despite dyslexia. That already takes an insane level of determination and adaptation.
• She can design strategies on the fly in the middle of life-or-death situations.
• She anticipates problems before they even happen.
• She reads environments, architecture, and enemy behavior like a tactical blueprint.
That’s not just academic intelligence. That’s strategic intelligence, spatial intelligence, and predictive thinking all working together.
Annabeth isn’t just the “smart girl.” She’s the kind of person whose brain is constantly running simulations in the background.
Like sure, she reads a lot. But the real scary part about her intelligence is that she can walk into a situation and in seconds her brain is already calculating:
• terrain
• enemy weaknesses
• escape routes
• structural vulnerabilities
• long-term consequences
And she’s doing that while fighting monsters.
So when people reduce Annabeth to just “booksmart” or “wiseass” it’s honestly wild because her mind works more like a battlefield strategist than a stereotypical academic prodigy.
She’s not just smart.
She’s the kind of smart that wins wars.
percy invites annabeth to sally/paul's wedding and she gets so excited to go and she spends hours (with silena) doing her hair and make up and trying out all these clothes to figure out what to wear and she's soooooo excited to go to this wedding
percy sitting thru the long ass reception until his body feels like a thousand knives are stabbing him all over and he just needs to move and he's a little upset because annabeth never showed up but it's fine it's not like she had to attend...percy walks out only to find annabeth sitting outside on the curb covered in blood and dirt and monster dust and her dress is torn and her hair is a mess and her make up is ruined because she fought tooth and nail to attend this wedding only to be attacked left and right by monsters and ruining all her hard work and she couldn't bring herself to walk in looking a mess and she's still crying-
You are so brilliant
no but the fact that percy jackson used to work summer jobs before he found chb will never not be funny to me
because can you imagine being a regular ol' new yorker
and turning the corner one fine summer day
and the first thing you see is this ratty emo kid who is clearly ADHD, younger than twelve, and trying to walk five dogs at once while holding his lunch money in one hand, somebody's pizza that has to be delivered to the opposite city of the city in the next fifteen minutes in the other, with a packet of undone summer homework spilling out of his backpack, and he's doing it all while riding a skateboard down lexington avenue
@sentient-stove
why would you hide these gorgeous possibilities in the tags. dishwashing percy jackson is absolutely canon. forget about the supreme lord of the bathroom, it's supreme lord of all water-driven kitchenware
percy jackson outside of camp half-blood after his mom evaporated
Percy stans who hate Annabeth don’t seem to understand that Percy would burn them alive to keep Annabeth warm.
I just realized that in the “I never said boyfriend“ scene from season two, annabeth denies calling percy her boyfriend but she doesn’t deny dreaming about him…. so my new headcanon is that some time after the events of season two percy one night, while trying to fall asleep, just goes out loud to himself "why does annabeth dream about me…is she having demigod nightmares about me??“ and on the other side of the country at the same time annabeth wakes up in a cold sweat fearing realizing she never denied dreaming about percy
Every time someone said that Percy sided with the gods because "it was the lesser of two evils" it honestly always left a sour taste in my mouth and I feel like I finally have the words to describe it.
Percy knows that what Chronos did to Luke is the worst thing you can do to a person: take away their autonomy and capacity for complex feelings and decisions, basically turning him into a one-note villain. He doesn't see the gods as over-powering authority figures that must always be respected and pleased but he also doesn't see them as absolute villains that must be destroyed with no capacity for remorse. The gods are complex people with capacity for guilt that were given the responsability of insane power and are doing what they can about it. Throught the whole series we see Percy grow his powers and be fronted with the responsability of not abusing it. I think when he makes the gods pay their child support is him making sure that they're doing the right thing while still keeping their own autonomy and capacity for change.
happy mothers day sally jackson adopt me pls
som, ch. 17
ttc, ch. 7
happy pride
Percy having a fixation with Annabeth's hair is something that can actually be so personal....
Eu sou muito apaixonada por eles. Vivendo no mundinho Percabeth ❤️❤️❤️❤️
if you were to make a pjo rewrite as if you were the original author, what are some changes youd make?
i think i would've loved to see chb a lot more fleshed out. like percy's relationships with people outside of grovabeth and beckengard happened off screen and then we were just kinda told he was friends with everyone else in tlo but we didn't really see it
ouu also more emphasis on cabins four and ten!! demeter and aphrodite deserve to be revered as powerful goddesses!! and their children deserve the spotlight as powerful demigods!!!
more hellenic practises at camp? honestly i'm still thinking about that fic where demigods veiled. that was so peak. hold on i swear someone linked it in my replies. let me check. okay they're saying its "To Make a Legend" that has veiling which would make sense since i read part of the first fic but i never finished it. anyway veiling + hellenic practises being part of camp would be peak
i saw @aaaaalice and @mmavverickk's reblog of ur post so yes to everything here
more faces in the ta? we got ethan, alabaster (off screen), and silena. and technically chris. but i would've loved to see more or be introduced to characters early on only for them to go missing and appear with luke so we'd feel betrayed by them as well. them being undermined at camp and growing more and more annoyed until they're just gone? building off of the subtle power struggle within chb maybe
you've probably seen this idea before because i am blatantly stealing it from tumblr but multiple camps around the world for demigods and mt olympus still being in greece but the empire state building just serves as a portal of sorts to reach the mountain top without flying around the world. idk how you'd tie that in,, maybe an off handed mention of it or something?? or whatever lol
maybe more allure for kronos? like...as he is in canon, it's kind of obvious he's the wrong and bad choice. but i think i made a post touching on it hold on UGH i can't find it but it was something about kronos promising to bring back his golden days where there wasn't so much pain and suffering because people didn't have free will and autonomy or something so it was like he was gonna build a "better" world for humans if you consider a loss of autonomy in exchange for peace and longevity as "better" versus a world under the gods where you have free will but there is pain and suffering in abundance and a long life isn't guaranteed. something like that. like do you want to go back to the garden of eden where there's no sin but you live in ignorance and controlled (kronos) or do you want to remain outside of the garden with all your knowledge and power but you will suffer and toil (the gods). type beat. like just...making kronos's offer a lot prettier to explain why so many people made, what appeared to the majority as, the dumb decision. maybe luke himself was promised freedom and autonomy to rule at kronos's side but kronos was never going to uphold his end of the bargain but luke was too blinded by rage to see that and just wanted to hurt hermes
^ and true equality for all demigods as ethan wants comes from the lack of autonomy where a hierarchy would normally be formed but instead kronos would keep them all in line and controlled to seeing one another as equals
so it's more autonomy vs peace
and percy sides with "if my life is going to mean anything, i have to live it myself" 🙂↕️🙂↕️🙂↕️ MISS SALLY JACKSON THE WOMAN YOU ARE FOR THAT QUOTE!!!!!!!
maybe more athena during quests? like athena back in the day was helping everyyyyyy hero she came across as that's like literally one of her domains. so i know she helped during the quest in ttc, but i would've liked to see her during other quests. like botl? i know hera gets to fill that role for. some reason. but athena filling that role instead would've been so peak as that's like. her job. LMAO
you might be going with your rachabeth + aroace percy agenda in the fic but if you're not and you're going with percabeth and you decide to keep the love triangle, can it be a real triangle with rachabeth tension too? 🥹 that would be so peak
anyway
uhhhh i think i'm running out of juice
final burst of energy and motivation:
the gods being more distraught about pan's death. we only really got dionysus's reaction and it was kinda pinned on castor's death but i would've loved to see like hermes's reaction to losing his son. maybe as a foreshadow to luke's upcoming death? hermes grieving his son right before he's going to have to grieve his other son. idk anyway
that's all i got
it is so important to me how physically comfortable annabeth is with percy in pjo. slipping her hand in his, sitting right next to him at his dining pavilion table, crying on his shoulder. and every time percy’s internal narrative is “oh my god she’s touching me she’s TOUCHING ME 🚨”
