going from growing up on dan and phil to then watching them post hiatus as an adult was so healing. they kinda mention this in their new video, but it’s so cool to experience and be apart of a fandom that almost grew up together on the internet, going from cringe parasocial kids to adults that watch their content to escape and retain that joy and whimsy!! ESPECIALLY as a queer kid who was in the closet for a longggg time, and could relate to their stories in some ways. i’m just so happy for them and can’t wait to see what they’ll do now and in the future, very full circle moment i had to type my thoughts out 🫶🏻

I am replacing our old somewhat washed out scan with a better new one, the dark paintings look different everywhere, even different from tumblr to somewhere else on the web. I have noticed over the last few years one of the big issues is the amount of brown/plum tint harnessing the black as well as how much direct light (warm or cool) is on the picture.

I have seen this person and under those conditions, I saw very little border but more of a very dark painting with warm highlights in the middle. It just depends on the room and the camera.

All that aside, our old scan was very old and this is far superior. Appropriate for our dark days.
