Fuck cancer from the fucking bottom of my fucking heart
i no longer respect the hustle i want universal basic income and dignity for everyone
I need normal ppl to stop reading a little life and reducing it to trauma porn. it just DIDNT resonate with you and like. that’s FINE. Just leave that book alone and let people who can appreciate it be the ones to like it.
My review of “A Little Life” by Hanya Yanagihara (17/02/2025).
I wasn't able to write a review on the very day I finsihed this book.
Why? Because I was sitting in silence for a good 5 minutes then broke down in an ugly crying session while after that, feeling just numb throughout the rest of the day.
This is how much of an effect this book had on me and not to mention a lot of other people so I've heard.
This book portrayed trauma, loss, abuse and disability in such an expressive tragic yet beautiful written way. I am still in awe of the writer's writing talent, kudos truly.
The book's main character, Jude st. Francis, will be a fictional character that will haunt me for a long long time. His story, his “little life” in reference to the title of this book, is one of the most saddening, disturbing, hurting, darkest story, yet also the most courageous and beautiful story I have ever read.
Jude haunted my thoughts even when I was not reading. Sometimes, I just wanted to dive into the book, into the story and give Jude the biggest hug possible.
This book showed you a glimpse of the mind and the ongoing thoughts of an abused disabled person. Which, as I experienced reading the book, was a very tough and difficult encounter.
I could not 100% relate but I didn't need to relate to be able to feel, to understand the hurt the disgust and the brokeness. Jude was physically and mentally broken.
I avoided to read this book in public, after I attempted to read it at the airport and bawled my eyes out, whereas my mom got angry with me after btw.
Therefore, I avoided reading in public because the story, sometimes, got very dark and very real, and I could not for the life of me control my reactions to it.
Anyway, I can with certainty say that Jude is a personage I truly won't be forgetting very soon.
Besides the sadness and the hurt, this book is filled with friendship, family, genuine love patience and care.
I hope we all find a Willem to love us as gently and genuinely as he did Jude.

I love my job, but reblogging employment jelly for someone else I love.
Oddly specific. Got a deposit for 6,837 today
fuck it, i never ever do those “reblog for X, this one really works!” posts, but this one doesn’t have any of that BS, this is just straight up wishing us good things; and then the comment doesn’t even say any of that either. Zero claims on this post, all positive vibes
May you end this week feeling ever more certain of a future you’ll love

The day my dad found out he got cancer
My world collapsed before my own eyes
Because...
His world collapsed before his'
It was the first time I saw my dad cry
Angry and sad tears
He could not believe it, nor I
He beat cancer although without an easy fight
Why would fighting for your life be any easy anyway
He beat cancer but it changed him forever
My mom and I can witness together

Freedom of speech is not a license to be disrespectful.
“According to Greek mythology, humans were originally created with four arms, four legs, and a head with two faces. Fearing their power, Zeus split them into two separate beings condemning them to spend their lives in search for their other halves.”
~Plato’s The Symposium.
How many times will I reblog this? “Always.”
We did it at school. The myth also says that the pairings could be male/female, male/male or female/female (just sayin’)
Well, that explains a lot.
