everybodys gotta get back into the practice of using pseudonyms online... i remember the time of screen names where u never ever told anyone ur real name and that was just understood as basic internet safety. plus having a screen name is fun because sometimes it sticks so well that it becomes part of ur identity that u can use in whatever facet of ur life you choose. it rocks to pick your own name

Okay, I’m not gonna lie. My heart sunk a little when they panned to Olivia in pants at her wedding, but one thing they absolutely nailed was her hair & make-up

The only people that don’t think Layla was an obstacle to Spencer and Olivia is stan twitter. EVERYONE saw her as one. When Olivia said that line about obstacles last night my mother shouted “yeah she was one” even before Layla apologized. It’s canon. It’s not that deep anymore. Everyone has moved on. No one’s rewriting anything. Spencer liked Layla and pursued Layla, that is a fact. But what is also a fact is Layla pursued Spencer despite Olivia and her feelings, while also pushing Olivia to pursue him. It’s canon that she knew of Olivia’s feelings. It’s canon that she tried to be a wing woman for Olivia. And it’s canon that she knew the reason Olivia backed off. It was never about Olivia losing feelings. She and Olivia sat in the stands of Spencer’s game and Olivia told her about the brother mishap. That’s what made her back off and Layla knew that and told her “too bad, he looks good out there.” And then kissed him that same episode, not knowing Liv was about to come see him. I can understand not calling her an obstacle if she let Spencer know the reason Olivia backed off or if Spencer found out somehow and he still decided to pursue Layla. Then it would really be all on Spencer. But she didn’t tell him, he was still oblivious to Olivia’s feelings and she swooped in, whether maliciously or not, because she wanted him. That’s why she apologized last night and that’s why she apologized in season 1
All of this PLUS the fact that she HAD A BOYFRIEND??? makes her actions extra shitty
but idk that’s just me
I feel so emotionally exhausted with all my thoughts about this show rn. I never want to feel this way about a tv show again 😭
One tiny detail that I've always noticed (and kind of love) that they've kept consistent throughout the show is that Olivia rarely has her nails done.
Idk even though she's a rich girl it seems realistic to her character
I'm excited for Olivia to go live in NY, I think she'll thrive there 🥹

a ten month time jump, mid-wedding reception, with five minutes left in the episode to a Super Bowl win and proposal is INSANE, but I cried when he got drafted and then again when he proposed, so it’s okay 😭😭😭😭😭😭
this was the original season finale and they said HERE STOP COMPLAINING
okay, so what they’re doing with Spencer and Olivia is GOOD. they’re showing them healthy & supportive & building, which is all great. LOVE THAT
what is BAD is the pacing of this stupid fcking show. what is happening now should have happened two or three seasons ago. we wasted so much time going in circles to get to this point for everything to fall flat! we’re supposed to be crying, kicking, screaming, throwing up at this point of the show. we’re supposed to be winding down and reaping all the benefits!!
but instead, I’m CONFUSED.
I still stand by not caring to see Spencer and Olivia get married on this show anymore (assuming this season is the last we see of them) bc it’s all gonna feel rushed and tacky. And they’ve done such a good job of avoiding that with them, that I seriously don’t get what they’re doing?????? All the focus on showing their slow growth and they get no special moments to themselves. Like Jordan married 1737292 times already, Jamie pregnant, Asher got a baby, Layla proposed to. I don’t want their moments associated w any of that hot mess. We need some breathing room!! Some show of maturity!!! But guess what!!! THERE’S NO TIME LEFT
I don’t want a two minute happily ever after scene
their decision to decenter Spencer (and with that, his love life and football storyline) was the worst decision ever made on this show
we’re out here getting bounced around like popcorn watching two minute scenes for what!!!! where is the payoff on my time investment!!!
they really should’ve played more into the rich girl and “teases yet does everything to please her” boy dynamic throughout the series
those scenes always eat, we could’ve had so many good moments 😭
I actually loved Spencer & Olivia’s scenes last night. I’ve been missing the lightheartedness in their romantic relationship and I feel like it really shined through last night.
Like the playfulness of Olivia overpacking and Spencer signing them up to help at south Crenshaw when Olivia wanted romance lol. And then all the hints throughout the episode of how SOLID they are. Like they’re so, so good right now!!
And then in the end, Olivia got her romance 🥺😭 I personally think the Shakespearean monologuing was a little left field for Spencer, but if you look past that, and pay attention to Daniel’s delivery, that shit was crazy. It was so beautiful, I was tearing up. And I’ve never even cared for Shakespeare!!
Yeah, it’s kind of sad that after so many years of the main ship being built up, we probably won’t get to see the whole picture. But they’re 21. And I’m gonna be honest and say I’m not really dying to see them get engaged/married RIGHT NOW. I wish the show had moved at a faster, more Spencer-focused pace. But it didn’t and here we are.
And on a more personal note, these are (probably) the last few moments I have with these silly little tv characters that came in and consumed so much of my twenties. Like this show really took SO much time from my life, I feel like it would be disrespectful to myself to go out on a bitter note. Spencer and Olivia are happy and healthy and communicative and are going to go on to live a beautiful life, and I’m gonna enjoy that and take it as a win!! And now I’m crying 😭

i don't think anything has pissed me off more on this show than when they cut from the national championship game to olivia sitting alone in her car
