I thought I'd make a proper introductory post since I want to start actively using my blogs more, rather than just being a lurker. Despite being on this site for YEARS I've never really interacted with other users. I wanna change that!

So, hi! My professional name is Lillian RS, but you can call me Max or Lian. I'm a queer writer who likes to write fantasy. I identify as genderqueer or genderfluid, and use they/he/she pronouns. I'm a bi grayromantic graysexual, but LOVE fictional romance and sex (when it's done well). Just don't touch me IRL for the love of the gods.

Am I the only one who enjoyed the final season of The Boys? Like, obviously a lot of writing decisions were questionable and dumb, but I still enjoyed it for what it is, even if it could've been better. People are talking about it like it killed their mother or something lol.

I'm all for well-deserved critique (especially for companies like Amazon) but man, people are ANGRY. I just can't bring myself to care about a TV show that much. Disappointed, sure. Seething? Absolutely not! Closest I got to angry at a TV show was when they killed Gi-hun in Squid Game, but I was more so upset than mad.

My main critique is honestly that they killed Homelander, that was letting him off easy. He should've been forced to live the rest of his life as an average person. THAT is the greatest punishment he could've faced.

Watched this show coz I was bored and it sounded cool and thought it was maybe a limited series and then they did that awesome cliffhanger and im like aw yeah there's so gonna be more season two is gonna be a fucking banger so I looked it up and the show got fucking canceled. So, if I understand, the shape and appearance of the Avatars is due to a program that reflects the User's mind state. Normally, this program would run during the Avatar's creation and be turned off after it. BUT!!!! What if the Program is constantly running in the background and it never turns off????

If the "mind files" start to deteriorate or diverge from the original files. Let's say.... Having a complete mental breakdown???

I would assume the program would interpret that mental state as something quite... Abstract????

imagine spending your entire life trying to please humans and they're never happy with you. imagine you're born a prototype and you're imperfect and your creators cast you aside in a little box and you break out and still you want to please everyone, but you don't know how to because you're faulty and wrong and bad. and everyone keeps telling you you're bad and faulty, even if they're not your programmers and they don't know you they can still tell and even if you're a god you're still failing. and the day you decide to stop pleasing humans, the moment you snap, they kill you. imagine. this happened to my good friend caine btw

Bruh episode 7 is infinitely harder to watch for me cause Caine had create this whole adventure where these people had the option to ESCAPE just for a section where one of them could interact with him and he KNEW that,

Like Jax is there doing everything Abel told him to do (which I see as Caine telling him to do) asking about hobbies and shit while Caine is EATING this fake interaction up

That is SAD man, that AI is SAD

FOR REAL. If you rewatch episode 7 with the perspective that Caine is speaking through Abel it gets so sad. How he says he watches them from the sidelines. How hard he's trying to get them to sympathize with him while they don't care at all.

Like Caine might be charismatic and seem like he doesn't listen, but it's not true. He really just doesn't GET it. He knows them, he knows kind of what they want and sort of how they feel but due to the limitations of him being an AI he's just not fully there. But he does have genuine feelings, I believe. He's just different. I think it's more so that he's not as naive as he can seem. He can be very smart. I just. Ugh. I love Caine.
