I have been wanting to do a cosplay of my DnD character. She’s a Tiefling and I have some questions about some of the logistics of it.

1: How do I make horns? Especially the kind that start at the forehead. I’ll share some photos of what her horns look like.

2: Full eye contacts; how? I do wear normal contacts to see, but I’ve never worn anything other than that. What are they like? Can you get prescription Cosplay contacts?

3: What’s the best way to make a devil tail that looks, no realistic, but not super fakey.

4: I’ve looked at some body paints and I found a good one, but what are some good contouring tips/make up tips so I don’t look like I just painted myself red?

Hey Cosplay Folks of Tumblr!!

So, next month, I’m doing a drive through haunted trail/Halloween maze and I’ve been cast as the wicked witch. For all my cosplays, I’ve never had to do so much face painting and I wondered if you guys had any tips to make it stay and not rub off and contour to look more realistic. Thank you!!

I’m thinking about washing/detangling/rescuing my wigs this week. Any tips and tricks on how to do this best?

One of my favorite costumes I’ve done. My great grandmother (who helps me make most of my costumes) made this for me. I was maybe Toph’s age or younger in this photo. Rewatching Avatar makes me want to do another ATLA cosplay.

Did I just make a cosplay because I was bored? Yes, yes I did.

My mom has this dress she used for a costume a long time ago so she gave it to me and I sewed in a safe hand pouch and I made the base for a Shallan Davar dress. Did I plan on doing this costume? Not for a while. Did I still do it? Yes.

Cats and Cosplay don’t always get along. Also, I don’t know if Adora will let me use the fabric for my mistcloak because she loves it. She’s been sleeping on it for a day now.
