Also it should be noted that in the comics when Steve dies in Civil War…..he leaves a letter that said “For Tony Stark only”

We also get Tony saying things were falling apart without Steve and a snippet of the letter which steve signs “Yours, Steve Rogers”

The letter is asking Tony first and foremost to save and look after Bucky. STEVE ASKED TONY TO LOOK AFTER BUCKY AND NO ONE ELSE. We all know how much Steve cares about Bucky, so for Steve to entrust that task with Tony says just how much he really cares about him.

And then later when Steve is revived we get this from Tony
