It's an advanced transfiguration spell to turn an animal into a floral patterned couch with cushions and pillows. Temporarily, of course. Extra credit if that couch includes an exact replica of Dorcas Meadowes, snoring like the bloody chainsaw she is.

It's absurd, isn't it? I always loved the colour of my hair, but when I was younger people really loved to pick on it. I suppose it's just what happens everywhere - people latch onto something that makes others a little different and go from there. Although I have to say, I much preferred when it had to do with my hair rather than my family.
An occasional smirk from a friend I can handle. It's the rest of the general student body I would worry about.

Dorcas Meadowes was never one to get up for a morning run or lift a few weights, she had absolutely no interest in exercise at all but with Lily around to chase down it was easy to stay in shape. So, sitting there, Doe kept her best friend down as if it were nothing. And honestly, it really wasn’t. Even the student body was used to this sight, especially today as passing fourth and fifth years simply stepped around them. Even a couple first years barely spared a glance their way. Doe waited a moment before lifting her hands from Lily’s mouth, holding them in the air as a sign of peace before slowly backing off and standing up, “Remember, keep that mouth of yours closed or bugs might fly in, Lils-y pad.”
Had Lily been one of the passerby students and seen this very scene on her way to class, she may have considered it completely absurd and, perhaps, barbaric. But because this was Doe, and because she was the one pinned to the floor, she was stricken by how extraordinarily ordinary it seemed to the both of them. Nonetheless, now was not the time for Lily to ponder their capers beyond the usual sprint around the castle.
As Doe lifted her hands from Lily's mouth, Lily struggled with the urge to at least try for one more shout. Finally, though, she decided against it - all good things to those who wait. A mischievous smile to match Doe's curled on Lily's lips, and she shrugged against the stone ground. "No promises. But even if I do, you know he's going to find out sooner or later, right? If he doesn't already know."
