Sam: I just picked that time. I mean not this year We have a Finchel wedding.

Sam: So I was thinking the end of next year which is about two years. but it can be sooner.

Quinn: Yeah, I know not now because of Finn and Rachel.

Quinn: Oh, wow, I guess two years just seemed longer but when you put it like that.

Sam: it can be sooner. like 18 months maybe?

Yeah, I tried telling my parents we wanted to wait with planning but they insisted even if we plan on being engaged for a while to throw ideas around. It’s why I’m going to prolong this dinner for as long as we possibly can.

  My dad insisted we all go over to my parent’s house for a celebration dinner sometime soon. My mother was over the moon and stated she was very proud of me as well.

I didn't get it? Why would they be proud? I mean, did they think we would never end up married?

Yes, she did. Their were tears and inaudible screams I think I might actually have a ruptured ear drum. My dad kept saying how proud he was of me, which was a little weird How did it go with yours?

I was at work. It was out of control.

Evans Family Call

Sam: The phone rang a few times before his mom answered it. "Mom. hey. Its Sam."

Mary: "Hey baby. What's up?"

Sam: He took in a deep breath before opening up to tell her the news. "I have some news I need to tell you. Don't freak out I am not in trouble and Quinn isn't pregnant." He told her.

Mary: "Ok?" She said confusion in her voice.

Sam: "Momma your dreams are coming true. I asked Quinn to marry me." He pulled the phone away from his ear as he knew what was about to happen.

Mary: When he said the words an almost unhuman sound came from her lips. "OH MY GOD!!!" She said almost yelling.

Sam: "Mom breathe." He told her.

Mary: " Dwight! Dwight!!" She yelled loudly for her husband. "Sam I am so proud and so excited.." She said, her voice becoming more soft and her voice began to crack. The tears began flowing.

Sam: "Mom are you crying?" He asked her knowing she was.

Mary: "Yes. But I'm ok." She said.

Dwight: Sam's dad took the phone from his mom. "Hello? Who is this?" He asked having not heard any of the conversation, just seeing his wife crying on the phone.

Sam: "Hey dad. Is Mom ok?"

Dwight: "She is crying. Why is she crying?"

Sam: "I told her that I proposed to Quinn. We are getting married."

Dwight: "Good Job son!" He said loudly and excitedly.

Sam: "Well I am sure we are going to have a quite a few family meetings and dinners about it."

Dwight: "Ok. Sam, I'm proud of you man. your mom will call you later when she stops crying. I'll talk to you soon."

Sam: "Love you guys too." Sam said just before he hung up the phone. He stared at it for a few minutes, realizing there was no going back now, even if he wanted to, it was done.
