you would think that being born into the reality tv dynasty that i was, my viewing history would be an embarrassment of riches, and yet here we are — love island usa just wrapped, uk is right behind it, and i am staring down the barrel of a very dry, very unstructured television wasteland with nothing to show for it. which is honestly a crime because love island is probably the one reality show i would genuinely thrive on, and i say that with full self awareness. bikinis by the pool every day, a recoupling ceremony that's essentially just a rotating door of words of affirmation tailored specifically to me, and absolutely zero instances of someone jumping into the ocean for the third time to retrieve a pair of cartier earrings that are now presumably decorating a mermaid somewhere at the bottom of the sea (cough, kim) — yeah, that sounds like a significant upgrade honestly. no offense to my sisters but the bar is on the ocean floor, literally. so tell me, what reality show do you think you'd actually survive? and i mean survive in every sense of the word.
