There's a lot of good comments and tags in the notes, but this one is very important, I feel like it deserves some emphasis.

Part of how authoritarianism works is telling you that you can't stop it. And you can't stop it by yourself. But it wants to stop the train of thought there and let you fall into despair.

You need to remember the next part: you don't have to stop it by yourself.

You're not alone. Take care of your community and let your community take care of you. Supporting each other is so vital.

I did not know about this, but I have checked the gov.uk page (x) and confirmed it for myself.

On that page there is also a link to How Alerts Work which has more information:

- some Android phones and tablets will receive more than one alert reminder, so be aware of that.

- airplane mode should also prevent an alert

- you can opt your device out of emergency alerts by searching for "emergency alerts" in your device settings and turning off "severe alerts" and "extreme alerts" (I figure this will be useful knowledge to have in the event of an actual unplanned alert and you still need to keep your device hidden)

Me, moments after posting chapter 21; gets 1400 words of what is essentially a love confession without the actual love confession down in twenty minutes because we're past the bulk of the angst and about to move into Pen's healing era and Penthony's romance era.
