My Hatred Towards Fellow Hetalians.

From the deepest, darkest, coldest parts of my heart, there is a tiny speck of light, and that light… is a sun; revolving around that sun: a world full of personified nations. I love Hetalia. It is in all seriousness my favorite anime. It’s funny, in some cases can be educational in said comedic way, and personifies each country into lovable characters with very colorful personalities. But, they aren’t perfect; they have their flaws and I still adore them.

This specific show, though known by many fellow anime lovers, has a peculiar fan base. Every now and then I’ll find a Hetalian who finds pleasure in binge watching the show just as much as I do. Every now and then, not too often though, I can have reasonable conversations with someone about our common fondness of Italy, China, Seborga, Belgium, and the rest of the beautifully twinkling cast.

But the majority of the time, that doesn’t happen. The majority of the time, I’ve dealt with the fan base whom I would not regret comparing to those jealous One Direction fans who feel like they have to Twitter shame a girl for just knowing the group a little better than they ever will. Those fans who get upset because my small crush on Russia gets in the way of their Russia and America pairing.

These particular fans honestly make it so hard for me to be proud of being part of this fandom. This is also a case in other fandoms I am part of such as Steven Universe and Undertale.

…but mostly Undertale.

Mainly, Undertale.

Seriously, how many more A.U.’s do you guys need?!

But, for now, let’s focus on Hetalia. If you have any questions about my thoughts, please ask away. For the most part, I will rant.

Kate eating at the Two Whales Diner and often having conversations with Joyce. Joyce telling Kate about how she has a daughter Kate’s age who she wished had her personality. Kate, remembering her depression and anxiety, informing Joyce about why Chloe behaves the way she does.

Joyce better understanding Chloe because of Kate’s ability to understand depression.
