Myrna Loy

The fabulous Myrna Loy.

She is forgotten in this age, but she was once known as the Queen of Hollywood right along side Clark Gable. I love how she always played to her leading man, you can see how she changes subtly depending on who she was paired with; whether it be:  William Powell, Tyrone Power, Fredric March, Melvyn Douglas, Clark Gable, etc.

There is a sweetness about her. I suppose that is why she ended up with the reputation of being "the perfect wife". Jimmy Stewart himself said "There ought to be a law against any man who doesn't want to marry Myrna Loy" ;)

I love this series. It is up there if not past the MOTHER series in terms of making you feel, laugh, and just warm your heart completely. With most games when you're playing them, you'll have sort of a blank face, just concentrating on the words/graphics etc. With this series though, and maybe it's just me---I always have a smile on my face. I've been making it a point to play 10-20 minutes before bed every night, and it has become a habit of sorts.

I seriously can't wait for five!!!

Ness and Paula are characters from MOTHER 2 (Earthbound in the US). The path is one I copied from a pattern I saw online, but tweaked a bit. Feel free to use whatever you want. I apologize in advance that mine aren't very good/fancy :)

Lin and Ko had a baby in Tomodachi Collection: New Life (3DS)

So today, (4/25/13) I started up my file in Tomodachi Collection: New Life for the 3DS, and something very cool happened. The translated text will all be below the picture. Enjoy :)

Hmm? Something different than normal....

L: Could you come here for a minute?

L: We had a baby!

Would you be happier with a boy or a girl?

Choices: Boy, Girl, Either.

(Kohei was with me when I started up my game so he saw the whole sequence, I asked him which he liked and he said girl, so we chose girl!)

L: Oh! Look at that, it's a girl.

Choices: #1: It's just what I expected! #2: Hmm...seems off.

We went with #1, but I assume that if you choose #2 you'll get a new face so for those that want to they can reset for the perfect face.

L: How should we raise her?

Choices: #1: To be like her Dad

#2: To be like her Mom

#3: Give specific examples

#4: Leave it up to nature

This will help choose the personality of the baby. Kohei told me he wanted it to be like me (so choice number 2) but I thought it might be more fun to just see how it plays out, so ultimately I chose number 4. If you choose 3 I'd imagine that you could input specifically what kind of personality they will have, which seems pretty cool.

L: We thought a name up ourselves...

So these characters thought of their own name for the baby, which ended up being Kohy (lol). The reason for this is Kohei (first three letters) plus Lindsey (Y being the last letter). It is somewhat common for Japanese couples to use parts of their name for their children. A woman named Mina might have a daughter named Minako (Ko meaning child or little), similarly I know a guy named Hiro and his son is named Masahiro (hiro is the second part of his name). This is all just anecdotal to explain it better to those that might not be familiar with Japanese though :)

Kohy is a bit strange for a girl (lol) so I chose the option: I want to decide on the name. Then it goes to this...

L: Alright so please choose the name!

L: Rose, that is such a nice name!

We went with Rose because it is pretty, easy to remember/say and it's just a cute name in general.

L: We will take care of Rose with all our heart

Ko and Lin had a baby named Rose. (this is where the sequence/event ends)

Hm...let's go check on the happy couple...

Ko and Lin are with Rose in the living room, you can see she has her Dad's black hair and her Mom's arched eyebrows.

Overall, it was a very very cute event and I'm glad I was able to share it with everyone :) Cheers!!

About Tomodachi Collection: New Life for the 3DS

Hello everyone! Just posted the proposal and wedding that happened in game in Tomodachi Collection: New Life for the 3DS. If you only follow our AC videos you may be confused by it...but basically it is a new game that is like a Nintendo-fied version of the Sims.

Ko proposed to Lin at the amusement park :) Their wedding took place right after. All the Mii's from my island came to the wedding, the ending shot is supposed to look like an aged photograph. Very cute wedding :)

After that they went on their honeymoon and are now living in the suburb part of the island. Wonder when a little Lin or Ko will come along :3
