May i request a Darling Duality headcanons (although oneshots are also great) about a fem!reader (or no pronouns at all if you perfer) that is aware of Castor's invasive tendencies trying to set boundaries in the relationship and succeeding in it?
thank u anon!! I've been kinda stumped on what to write :(
aa i loved writing this, I'm definitely going to write more DD content <3
Castor w/ a s/o who sets boundaries
Castor when he first met you, was pretty intense, for a few weeks, he was very intense and obsessive.
you picked up on this and you didn't want this to continue. sure, you liked him but Castor was overstepping.
you did want the conversation to be taken seriously so, you did not sugarcoat anything.
"you don't like my personality? I can change for you!"
again you explained that certain aspects of his personality were problematic if this was going to work.
he had to stop disrespecting your boundaries and attempting to convince you that you didn't need anyone but him.
and also how Castor was willing to put your needs, before his own.
he couldn't see that this was toxic, but you would help him see.
"All I'm asking is that you have some self-reflection"
He did just that mostly because Castor is willing to do anything for you, although he had realized that if he didn't respect your boundaries it's likely the relationship wouldn't last. plus it was unfair to both of you
he apologized and started communicating about boundaries, discussing needs, and discussing everything that was important to make this work.
There were many ups and downs but in the end, it worked out <3
note: I had a lot more to write but ik I would never finish it when i had nearly all genshin women to write in one post lmao
Lumine
You had been dating for quite a while when Lumine asked if you wanted to stay at her apartment.
You thought she meant to hang out, but Lumine was discussing something more permanent. And when she explained what she was implying,
Ofc you agreed to it, and that's how you started planning for what's ahead.
the moving process was a bother </3 you lived somewhat of a distance from Lumine. You had to take multiple trips to get all of your things into Lumine's apartment.
Once you got moved in, it was awkward, but eventually, you got into a comfortable and natural routine.
Ofc there's also paimon intervening w/ the awkwardness demanding that the two of you talk more honestly abt boundaries.
And once boundaries are sorted out, it becomes more comfortable and natural.
"ah, I really love your cooking~,"
Lisa
Lisa had been dreaming of living together since you started getting serious about the relationship. She considered you might need more time before committing to something like living together.
However, she's happy to be living with you <3
Lisa is willing enough to carry the heaviest boxes for you <3
Lots of teasing in the morning just to see how you react when you're sleepy and aren't thinking coherently!
Lisa asks you about what you're like in the morning, so she does not go overboard early in the morning if you're a grouch. No one enjoys snapping or starting the day being snapped at first thing in the morning.
"Oh, you're up early? Did you want to make breakfast for us, cutie~,"
Ningguangg
It's no trouble for her, but Ningguang wanted to wait for you to get comfortable w/ her before proposing something like living together.
And it's no trouble getting you moved. Ningguang will pay for a moving company.
Ningguang will discuss how much time you'd like to spend w/ her. She knows everyone's social batteries are different.
If you want your own room, Ningguang is happy to provide it! She'll give you the second biggest bedroom (hers is the biggest one)
Ningguang would love tasting your cooking! she has personal chefs, but something genuinely made by a loved one is more special to her <3
"Darling, no need to worry. I will take care of it."
Characters: Monika
fem! reader
genre: fluff
Summary: the reader is caught up in the rain, the weather forecast hadn't expected pouring rain, fortunately, Monika sees her in time and has a solution
note: it's a tad bit cliche, i actually wrote this as a draft months ago lmao
y/n left the school building. She lived quite a way off from the school. She mainly chose this high school for two friends, a brunette male, and Sayori. Usually, y/n would have to walk to the bus stop, which could take 10-15 minutes depending on how quickly her pace is; however, y/n checked the weather forecast this morning, and it did not expect the weather y/n was experiencing at the moment.
The pouring rain was freezing, and the intense wind didn't make y/n's circumstances any more pleasant as y/n was standing there in momentary shock. This would not be a delightful walk home when she got off the bus.
Although Monika could see the girl get soaked out in the rainfall from not too far away, the brunette had her umbrella handy. It would be a bit of a squeeze, but she surely wouldn't want her crush catching a cold on her conscience.
y/n heard footsteps behind her and assumed it was just a passer-by, but landed on her shoulder as an umbrella hung over her head. Y/n looked over her shoulder to see Monika, the literature club leader, smiling warmly at her. y/n could feel her heart race over her proximity to one of the prettiest girls she's ever seen. y/n swallowed hard before speaking
"Monika?" was all she could say to her, but regardless, she was glad y/n wouldn't have to walk home when it was raining.
"I saw you in the rain, and I didn't want you to catch a cold! I don't live far." Monika smiles encouragingly at the shivering girl beside her.
"You can dry off and stay until the rain passes if you'd like?" Monika suggested, and that suggestion was highly tempting. How could she say no to an offer like that?
"Sure, I don't mind, and I don't wanna walk home in the rain."
synopsis !! in which he can't find you anywhere until he does
contains !! gn!reader, horror themes, mature content, angst drabble but with cute content? im bad at genre identification ://
masterlist 2
One step. Two steps. Three steps. Diluc makes his way through the rooms of the manor, ears strained to hear you— but he can't.
He can't hear you at all.
You weren't downstairs; not in the salon perched on a loveseat, waiting for him while reading a book; not by the fireplace, cozying up with your shawl wrapped over your shoulders and tea cupped between your palms; not in his study, doing his extra paperwork or allocating the household budget— where were you?
When he checks the bedroom —eyes scanning the bed and pulling away the covers to still not see your familiar form— his heart starts beating a little louder.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
His boots fall flat against the hardwood as he retraces his steps to check on the rooms again. He's calling your name, calmly at first but it grows louder and more desperate with each silent response.
He goes through the salon, the fireplace, his study, your study, the bedroom, the bathroom. He goes to the servants quarters, checking the vineyards as he hurries.
Four steps. Five steps. Six steps.
He rapidly knocks on Adeline's door and looks side to side, pacing as the head maid appears still in her nightgown.
"Master Diluc, wh-"
"Where's (Y/N)? I can't seem to find them anywhere. They're not here– not in the bedroom, not in the manor, I- . . ." He pauses, giving himself time to breathe but the thumping in his heart continues.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
Adeline looks at him in alarm, "Why, they were in the manor when I left an hour ago with Elzer." No words were said as she quickly grabs a lantern next to her. Diluc lights it up with a glance to the wick. His vision resonating too well with his emotions.
The fire flickers and dances, as if in panic.
"I will wake the other servants–" And off Adeline goes. Two steps. Three steps. Four steps away.
Diluc leaves the servants quarters. He checks the shed, the wine reserves, he glimpses at the long road heading to Mond. His father died down that road, Ursa the Drake was once down that road, Fatui agents could be down that road, where were you? Where did you go?
Thump. Thump. Thump.
It's the sound of his footsteps and his heart. But there's something else quietly thumping– or falling? Like the dull sound of water dripping on grass. In the distance, he hears the servants calling out your name.
A crystalfly flutters past him and he couldn't help but allow his eyes to follow it. They always calmed him (Him on his father's shoulders, reaching high up. Him running with Kaeya, swinging bug nets in their hands. Him on one knee, crystal ring reflecting the crystalflies).
Thump. Thump. Thump.
It's louder now. He follows the glowing creature, a child of wind and chime, as he navigates the dark vineyard.
One step. Two step. Three steps.
The ground is damp and wet, it sloshes under his boots. He doesn't remember it raining.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
The grapes in this section smells putrid. He leaves the vineyard into the woods, and the smell doubles in strength.
Thump. Thump.
He holds up a gloved hand to his nose, only guided by the low light of the crystalfly.
Thump.
Four steps.
Thump.
Five steps.
Thump.
Six st—
He freezes, looking forward.
A pair of barefeet stare straight back at him. Only a few inches from his face. Water drips from it. It's not water, it's red. It's a really dark, thick red. It's red water. Red water drips from it.
He looks up, slowly, and sees how the red water cascades down the legs to the tip of the toes to the damp ground. It drips.
Thump.
Thump.
Thump.
The ground is damp. The water is red. The forest is dark but as the crystalfly flutters to rest on the glow of a ring— your wedding ring, his breath hitches.
Three years ago, he proposed to you. He planned the perfect proposal for months –dinner, stars, music– but it only took a casual walk and your laugh to rid him of his patience and to get down on one knee. He's flustered and it's rushed and he really should have waited but the words are spilling out of his mouth and you're shrieking a "Yes! Yes!" already with arms wrapping around his neck— The proposal dinner turned into the celebration instead.
Diluc tries to hold back the blood– somehow. He tries to cover the wounds with his hands, but there's too much and the wounds were too big. Much too big and too many for any hand to cover. There are ropes wrapped around your neck. He needs to get you down. He needs to hold you.
Two years ago, the traveler had saved Teyvat from devastation. The twin siblings finally meeting up to continue their journey. The archons stepped down, secrets were revealed, and sinners were given their justice. He reconciled with Kaeya, he made the Fatui pay, he continued loving you and you moved into the winery and called it "our home".
Diluc brings you down from the tree. He knicks himself with chopping down the rope that tangles around your mangled form. He realizes his hands are shaking, but he holds onto you for dear life anyway. There's a sobbing sound, an anguished crying noise, something pathetic. He wants to go home with you but his legs shake.
One year ago, he finally married you. A small but lavish wedding by the winery with all your loved ones. Klee and Diona were little flower girls, Kaeya was the best man, and Bennett was elated to carry the rings (although he tripped halfway and everyone had to look for the ring). Despite not being fond of public displays of affection, Diluc kissed you with a yearning that left you redder than his hair.
Diluc doesn't want to kneel on the ground. It's damp with blood but he finds his legs failing him. The red seeps into the cloth of his trousers, it smears his vest, it's all over your face and when he presses his lips to your forehead, it's on his as well. He hears Adeline screech and Elzer gasp. There's a commotion behind him as servants either cover or peek through the scene. The crystalflies are gone now but torches illuminated the forest in red– red– red–
Diluc doesn't want to think of a life without you when it has only just begun. Diluc doesn't want another 4 years of grief, of facing himself, or losing his family— but suddenly, you're gone.
Through his choked sobs and trembling arms, he could only think of one thing that burns as much as his pain:
Who did this?
note !! I don't usually make pure angst but here u go. and diluc's pyro resonating with his emotions is further elaborated in this post!
my cat has been missing for a few days, and i cant sleep. so im putting up missing cat posters, she's a badass kitty ik she can handle herself but im just so sad without her :(
—you found that all you ever wanted was to have someone by your side, and even if you did not expect or liked it at first, kamisato ayato was that one for you
CHARACTERS. Ayato; gn! noble! Reader
THEMES. arranged marriage; subtle enemies to friends to lovers? (you’ll see); timeframe is before & during the sakoku decree
WORD COUNT. 3.3kwords (this is long)
WARNINGS. may have themes surrounding toxic families, and loneliness at the start; mention of wounds but not really graphic
“You will be engaged to the Yashiro Commissioner, Y/n.”
“But Father, did he not reject me a few years back?”
“Well… this time, he was the one who proposed it himself.”
“Excuse me?”
“His name is Kamisato Ayato, he will be your husband when you grow up.”
It was like hide and seek. A secret you were meant to find as the other was kept hidden from your view. Or a surprise birthday celebration that you had never gotten to experience and only heard of from the stories you’ve read in novels that kept you company in exchange for people.
You never even saw his face and yet your parents told you that he was to be someone whom you will grow together with. At that moment, you thought that it was a good thing. You will be with someone. Great! At least you would not be alone anymore. At least, in the cold four corners of your room, a part of your heart was kept warm with the thought of someone who was promised to keep you company when the right time comes.
Until
“What? The Kamisatos’ did not accept it?”
“They said they value their child’s decision… what kind of family are they to reject us!”
“What should we say to Y/n now?”
“What do you mean? That is not what’s important right now! The Kamisatos’ dared to destroy our reputation!”
You remember how you stood behind the wall back then, clutching onto your pillow, about to ask your parents if you could sleep with them. You remembered having to realize a couple of things: Kamisato Ayato dislikes you and this marriage; that you were going to be alone once more; and that your family never cared about your feelings after all.
Status makes everyone mad. Status is what makes everyone think of foolish things, and you realized such a thing at a young age.
no one asked but imagine studying with Teen!Frisk in their room, while listening to Mother Mother. and being instructed to keep cracked because Toriel worries about the mischief that the two of you would get up to if left alone for too long.
However, also studying with Frisk late enough that Toriel asks if you want to join them for dinner. which dinner with Frisk's family was always a pleasure when snails weren't involved. Luckily, Toriel always accommodated a meal that you liked.
eventually going back to Frisk's room just to hang out and secretly close the door to have some privacy since Toriel keeps peeking;
having the music at a 'normal' level, wanting to not get caught by Tori since you're both using the excuse of studying when you're really dancing in their room like no one's watching while exchanging kisses.
Imagine in a coffee shop au, you bump into Chongyun, spilling your hot coffee on his shirt, quickly you apologize profusely. You quickly call to get paper towels to give to him, and ever since then you keep meeting him at that very same cafe.
eventually conversing w/ him, you findout that his name is Chongyun, however there's undeniably some tension between the two of you each time.
