With the new context from the letter, does anyone else think that Kathy leaving Elliot in Season 6 had something to do with Olivia?

Olivia finds out that Kathy’s left Elliot during ‘Doubt’, and he says “the job makes me kind of hard to live with.” But in Season 10’s ‘Swing’, Elliot’s mother Bernadette let’s it slip to Olivia that she “scares the pants off Kathy.”

In the episode following ‘Doubt’, ‘Weak’, Olivia and Elliot fight about Rebecca Hendrix’s involvement in the case.

Elliot: What's your problem? She's a cop. That's all I need to know.

Olivia: No, Elliot. She didn't think being a cop was good enough, so she quit.

Elliot: Is that what this is about? Some sort of inferiority complex?

Olivia: You know, I get that you're on the rebound and everything, but if you could keep it out of work, that'd be great.

Olivia comes off as genuinely jealous about Elliot giving any attention to Dr Hendrix throughout the entire episode.

Maybe I’m reading too much into things, but I wonder if they were given this direction to take all the way back in Season 6.
