He hasn't seemed to laid out anything concrete and flips between eras sporadically. So I was hoping you had a better idea of how to structure things.

I like Harris's guide, personally, but it's preference. Today had been a real shit-sack of a day. There had been a paparazzi sitting her class, posing--badly--as a student during her 101 lecture. Then, there had been legitimate journalists outside the lecture hall. On her walk back to her office, calls from her lawyer about court dates. By the time she got back into her office, the only thing Linette wanted was to grade papers. And that was saying something, given how bad the freshmen papers were.

She was hoping for an empty office, but when she arrived, there was a stranger sitting at what used to be Mitch’s desk. Mitch had moved out last week, when they finished renovating the music history offices. But there had been no discussion of who would fill that desk. “Um, hi?” she leaned over, seeing him pouring over something on a tablet. “Are you...?” she had no idea who he might be, so she left the sentence unfinished.
