Addy found herself watching her feet move, not knowing where they were taking her. Her mind was buzzing and it was all she could do to keep putting one foot in front of the other while she felt so light-headed. The elevator chimed gently at her as she entered and exited, and started eyeing the nameplates on the doors of the second floor. Who was it she was looking for?
The further she got, the more obvious her goal became to her. She didnât know why she was seeking her out, and part of her wanted to pull back, to keep to herself. But it was drowned out by the steady urge to make sure that she was still there, and see if maybe she had⌠something. Answers, sympathy, venting, talking, even just shared silence. Anything to keep her mind off of what was happening, and keep her from blanking out more than she already had.
Reaching her destination, she eyed the label reading âHoshiko Moreauâ, and wondered why she had thought of her this whole time as Hoshiko. Wasnât that a little rude? She shook away the thought, and knocked softly after her motor functions finished going through another moment of static.Â
âMoreau? Itâs Addy. Iâm here toâŚâ She tried to figure that out for a few seconds, and then gave up. âIâm just here⌠I guess.â
Hoshiko, in all honesty, was a fan of this particular motive. The closest person to her? Why, thatâd have to be her father; not having any interaction with anyone made ones choices in âfavorite peopleâ rather slim. She couldnât just go out and say that she was happy at the thought of her fatherâs death, of course; without knowing her reasons people would think her mad.
She stirs at the knock, peering through the peephole. She brightens further at the sight of Addy, opening the door and greeting her with a grin as bright as the sun. âNounours! Comment vas-tu, chĂŠri? Come in!â She steps back, leading Addy into her room.
Sheâd lit the room with fairy lights, and pinned whatever she could find from the vending machine to the walls. It made it more hers; something sheâd never had at home. Nevermind her family, though, Addy was here. âChĂŠrie, soleil, amour- did you want something?â
