piper swears off the mythological world and leo swears off the mortal world yet the only tie they can’t bear to break is the one that they have with each other 🫨
the thing about media literacy is that understanding why the author chose to specify that the curtains are blue is the same skill set as understanding that the way the author characterizes all black characters as angry or all chinese characters as meek and silent is racist. it is the same skill set as being able to identify when a news source is biased or when someone is feeding you propaganda. the ability to ask "why did this person choose to present this premise in this specific way?" is a critical skill in a world full of misinformation. why are the curtains blue? maybe it's a characterization detail. maybe it's extraneous worldbuilding. why is this character written as being right all the time? maybe you're intended to disagree with them. maybe it doesn't matter. maybe you should still ask why.
liper “together” in the sense that they’re with other people but never for long and hole up with each other in the interim but they’re not actually in a relationship but then they eventually start dating around again and go completely no-contact for a yr and then they both get dumped and pick things back up with each other like they never, ever left off 😍😍😍 rinse and repeat.
this goes on uninterrupted until one of them gets engaged and the other intimidates the fiancé/fiancée so bad they eventually back off. the cycle immediately continues

OTPs where saying “Be Safe” weighs more than saying “I love you” because they can’t admit their feelings out loud.
that one fic where leo would tap i love you in morse code on the wall between his and piper’s bunks on the argo II to remind him of his mother and he thought piper would tap i love you back because she was comforting him but she really just liked him…poetic cinema
he would not fucking say that, but with disability.. he would not fucking be able bodied. sick n tired of characters walking away from multiple life changing injuries without a scratch. let’s get some natural consequences in here.
give that knife/sword fight survivor nerve damage. give the character who was shot in the gut a stoma. give that fire survivor lung damage and an oxygen cannula. give that leg injury survivor a cane. give that starvation survivor gastroparesis. give that spinal injury survivor a manual chair or powerchair.
while we’re at it, give your characters congenital disabilities too, just because. give them intellectual and development disabilities. give them acquired and postviral illnesses. dare to make somebody bedbound. for me.
