PDH S2 if it had a series intro/opening!!

spent the whole day working on this but I’m pretty proud of it!! based on the dr3 opening (same music n all) and a lot of the stuff is shot for shot from that opening, buuut I added my own spin to things too hehe

here’s the custom pdh logo I made just for this intro too, happy with how it turned out

it’s still surprising that to this day I still see people who genuinely believe that Daniel shouldn’t have been Alpha, or that he would’ve been a terrible Alpha, or that Blaze would’ve been the better Alpha, or anything along those lines.

Not saying Blaze would’ve been a bad alpha at all, I understand wanting to have seen him as such, and he could’ve been a good alternative too! But why do I often see people dragging down Daniel’s abilities to make this point. Do we not realize that Daniel becoming Alpha and Blaze willingly handing down the title are both extremely important for not only their character development in PDH S2 (and proof that their journeys that seasons have completed), but also to the themes of PDH S2 as a whole (specifically abt leadership)

If anyone wants, I could do a more in depth rant abt this, I’ve already spoken abt it to a few mutuals. Because ooohhhh boy whenever I see people still say that after years it just makes me just a wee bit sad💔 not mad or anything, I totally understand why some people would think this. But as a fan of both characters (they’re like equals in terms of my favorites) it’s just like. aw darn

gonna be so real, i was getting kinda bored with the recent mermaid tales episodes.

i don't think they were bad, but i'm guessing i felt this way cause the previous episodes hosted some of the best writing out of jess' series (in my humble opinion). so the bar was set pretty high.

and then episode 13 released. with the trauma music. even the thumbnail was kinda tuff not gonna lie

i genuinely was concerned for aaron's wellbeing and usually i'm... not (whoops sorry aaron). i felt like i was watching the end of outsiders 🗿🗿 i fully believed they were gonna kill him off. and hey he might still die from blood loss or literally getting shot, but in the moment i thought he was a goner. with the way this whole aphverse thing has been going, i can see them making another universe depressing. uhhh THEORY TIME! i think that the wolf person's identity will not be revealed in mermaid tales. i believe that this mysterious individual is alina trying to protect her parents in other universes! this reveal will be saved for mystreet. ooh new thought. aphmau and aaron are doomed in every universe, so alina is trying to break that canon (spiderverse moment). also gang zane finally touched the special rock thing wooo we got human zane about time woooo surprisingly, i don't have more to say. but someday i'll write that mermaid tales essay that i keep promising to myself (likely after the season finale, at this point). for now i'll say, peak season. i kind of want to order that standee now but it's so freakishly huge. not really, but i'm running out of shelf space. oh couple more things—can we talk about the animation? well not like full animation but how the characters move. even that scene where the npcs are painting the boat. that looks so good?? i like how alive they all feel now. and i have only a single complaint for this recent episode: i wish the bgm that played while aaron said his goodbyes to aph continued up to the traumatizing final fantasy track. but tis a small nitpick.

i keep scrolling through tumblr and have spoiled myself twice for the new mermaid tales episode why don't i just go watch the new episode instead of doing that with the very concerning title i'll be back, tails. i'll be back.

Sorry for no posts for a while!! I’ve mostly been focused on writing twg, buut I’ve also been slowly working on somewhat learning to draw!! or just kinda getting a feel for it so I can make silly doodles and stuff. Case in point; June with short hair!!

I love the idea of her with short hair GAUH she’s so gorgeous in ANY hairstyle…June I love you to death🥹🥹

any drawing advice would be rlly neat!! still don’t know how to draw anything beyond half-bodies (legs and arms are the things that kill me) but I’m gonna try and get the hang of it, especially as I try to sort of find my own lil style.
