Kimi no Na wa / Your Name also has some beautiful timelapses and montage shots. I didn’t love every single shot in the movie, but there are very many that are so good.

If y'all have not seen Your Name yet, GO WATCH IT. This is, in my opinion, the greatest animated film I’ve ever watched. The cinematography, color schemes, fluidity, and minute details made this an amazing experience. I cannot give it enough praise.

Right down to the character traits changing with each switch that happens… it’s enthralling. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to never see a shooting star again in my life, so yes do this.

Yondu didn’t have a talking car but he did have a flying arrow. He didn’t have the beautiful voice of an angel but he did have the whistle of one. Both Yondu and David Hasselhoff went on kick-ass adventures and hooked up with hot women and fought robots. I guess David Hasselhoff did kind of end up being my dad after all, and it was you, Yondu. I had a pretty cool dad.
