Now that it is almost getting healed up, I thought I would show my newest tattoo. It’s been a shitty 5 months. Many many bad things happened, and I started turning into a monster because of it, it was so bad I couldn’t even recognize myself. This tattoo is on the arm where I did my self harm. I relapsed a few days ago (hence the bandaid) and it just slapped me in the face because that was not who I was, and I thought that I was getting better. One of my best friends told me one night while we were bandaging some of the scars up “You know you are just perfect, and if you feel like you need to hurt yourself.. you have all the right to do that, but that was then, and this is now. You don’t have to be that person anymore.”
I’d like to think that this is a reminder that.. things can get bad, yes, but.. they don’t have to get that bad again.
People who have seen this tattoo have asked me “When are you getting ‘this is now’ on the other arm?”
and I have simply replied “When I am happy”
Oh gosh. Me? Well, I have trouble saying where I'm from because the answers contradict one another. I love the cozy warmth of a brick building. I drink a lot of tea and a lot of diet coke. How about you? What's a little thing about you that I couldn't know just from reading your blog?
