easy witchy tips i have learnt through my craft
writing a protective sigil inside your door to avoid bad energies to enter your room
making sigils by yourself works better because you pour your intention into it and can be a great way to manifest
white candles can replace any candle when doing candle magick
clear quartz can replace any crystal
when drinking your daily coffee/tea, stir clockwise to manifest something and anti-clockwise to let go of something. repeat your affirmations as you stir
salt baths absorb bad energies so having a salt bath once in a while helps with having your energies balanced
write an affirmation in a bay leaf and burn it to manifest it
always keep iron on you for protection
work with the moon phases and transits to make your spells more powerful
keep a sigil in your phone case for protection/manifestation
after giving an offering to a deity, return it to the earth
drink mugwort tea for lucid dreaming/astral projection (don’t drink it if you are pregnant!!)
before you put a crystal under water or in the sun, research about it
keep a dream journal. it helps for lucid dreaming.
put an amethyst under your pillow to sleep better and to recall your dreams
charge your tarot/oracle cards by putting a crystal on top of them while you are not usinf them
mix moon or sun water with your cosmetics for a quick beauty spell
try to do an activity to connect yourself with each element everyday. (ex: a bath for water, walking barefoot for earth, lighting a candle for fire, singing for air)
make an habit of meditating everyday
casual enchantments for the everyday witch
+ enchant your lip balm or lipstick for a boost of confidence when speaking
+ enchant a middle finger ring to jinx anyone who you flip off with bad luck
+ enchant your earrings or ear studs for better hearing or to hear when people are talking shit about you
+ enchant your bus or train card so that you’ll never miss a bus or train again
+ enchant eyeliner to make your eyes more striking or to instil fears in the hearts of anyone who you glare at
+ enchant a wristwatch to remind you to look at it at vital times if you’re going to be late
+ enchant shoes to motivate your feet to pick up the pace
+ enchant a pen to attract compliments about your handwriting or keep your handwriting from devolving into chicken scratch
+ enchant earphones or headphones to repel people who want to bother you when you’re listening to your music
+ enchant coin purses or wallets to keep you from dropping cards or losing your money
+ enchant a box of sweets or candy or mints for a boost of happiness
I should definitely try this, it would do so much more than my nonexistent daily witchery.

SOO CUTE
✨Room Cleansing Spray ✨
This is perfect for those who want to cleanse the area before spellwork but can’t/don’t want to burn sage or palo santo! It’s also a great little pick me up and it’s very useful for grounding and centering if you use himalayan salt.
You Will Need:
- a spray bottle
- himalayan salt (protection, cleansing, grounding & centering) or sea salt (protection, cleansing, purification)
- preferably moon water but tap water is ok
- optional: dried rose petals (protection)
- lavender essential oil (purification)
- clary sage essential oil (protection, clarity, cleansing)
- tea tree essential oil (protection, purification and aura cleansing)
- definitely not optional: witch hazel (removing negativity, hexes and general dis-ease) - also makes the essential oils mix with the water. do not leave it out!!
sidenote - if you want to use this spray on you or your clothes, dilute the essential oils first to make sure you don’t develop a sensitivity!
How To Make:
1. mix a teaspoon or so of whichever salt you chose with your water and wait for it to dissolve before pouring it into a spray bottle.
2. add witch hazel in a 2 parts water 1 part witch hazel ratio
3. add a few drops of lavender essential oil, clary sage oil and tea tree oil depending on the strength of the scent you like
4. add a few dried rose petals if you want to!
5. put the lid on the bottle and give it a good shake before each use!
I personally use this for meditation, grounding & centering, before spellwork and to help me get to sleep.
Remember to always be safe with your essential oils!
💗
EDIT: be careful if you have cats because lavender is toxic to them! make sure not to spray too much or omit lavender oil from the ingredients if you want to be totally safe.
thanks for the reminder @rainbow-lava
✨Cleansing✨
Cleansing is the practice of cleaning the negative energy out of yourself, your posessions or surroundings.
✨Methods of cleansing✨
• Smoke. Pass the item you're cleansing through smoke, whether it be smoke from incense, a candle or a fire.
• Water. First make sure the item you're cleansing is water proof, or at least water resistant, there are a few crystals that are damaged by water, so beware! Sprinkle water on the object you're cleansing, especially if it's moon water or full moon water.
• Salt. Put the object your cleansing in salt, or put salt on the object. Salt will soak up all the negative energy in the item. Beware, there are some crystals damaged by salt.
• Sunlight and Moonlight. Put your item outside or near a window. Let the item bathe in the light for a few hours. Beware of bleaching! You can also sprikle salt in your doorway on the first friday of every month (or whenever) to protect and cleanse your home.
• Crystals. Use corresponding crystals to cleanse your object. Put them around/on your object. If you're cleansing your own energy, keep the crystals in your hands or carry them with you.
✨How to cleanse✨
• Pick the thing you want to cleanse (be it your home, your crystals, your witchcraft materials, your jewellery, etc)
• Pick a method of cleansing (use your intuition)
• Feel your energy and listen to your feelings when cleansing, try to stay calm. You can close your eyes and breathe deep.
• Try to transfer your positive energy into the object. Imagine your positivity flowing into it.
And you're done!
✨Cleansing crystals:✨
Crystals that have cleansing properties include:
• Selenite
• Clear Quartz
• Citrine
• Black Tourmaline
• Black Onyx
• Fluorite
• Selenite
• Apatite

YES.
Has something felt permanent in your life that later turned out to only be temporary?
Sometimes we assume that what we’re going through is where we’re going - not recognizing that we’re still on the journey. Life can feel more permanent than it actually is & once the change happens, we can reflect to see that what felt like the end was only the middle or even the beginning.
I hope that makes sense. If it does - enjoy this tarot spread to find out what part of your life feels more permanent than it actually is. What are you learning right now that you’re just passing through, passing by, enjoying temporarily?

Here’s to the Boy Who Cries
Here’s to the boy who’s on the other end of the phone, tears on his cheeks. I know it hurts. I know you’re not okay, but it will be. I’m going to walk along beside you and be with you. I won’t lose hope, but I will continue to walk beside you. I care about you, about the boy behind the screen. I don’t know if that matters, but I will be here the whole way through. So here’s to the boys who cry. Here’s to the boys that show emotion when the world said to suppress them. Here’s to the boy that stole a part of me and here’s to the boy that needs me.
Write your Witchcraft
The thing is, we change. We are not the same person we were five years ago. Hel, a lot of us are not even the same people we were last week. We change, and our beliefs, favourites, thoughts and the way we see ourselves changes with it.
The same is true for our witchraft, religion and spiritual beliefs. This is why I have a list of question that I like to answer for myself every couple of years. I first started this when I came across a list of questions by Juniper from Walking the Hedge (site no longer in use) in 2008, yes, over ten years ago. Every few years I filled in the questions and looked back at the answers I gave before. Some never changed, some changed quite a lot.
When our coven started a new lesson plan, I gave out the list of questions as well. We sealed our answers in envelopes and plan to fill them in again, once we finish our lessons. Then open the envelopes and look at the answers side by side. To see how we have changed.
I looked at the list last week and found it actually lacking a bit. The questions were very deity- and spiritual based, so I was missing some more questions about my personality and witchcraft. So I decided to make my own list of questions!
Since I wanted to make this more a weekly journaling/grimoire prompt for myself I put together 52 questions. These can be answered weekly (maybe every year) or you can work through the list in one go and repeat that every few years or so.
Some notes on the wording: I consider myself both a witch and a pagan, but to keep it easier to read I only used wording like “witch” and “witchcraft”, they can however be substituted for “pagan”, “paganism” or even “my path”, should that fit you better. When I talk about “sacred space” this can both mean a ritual space like a temple or casting of a circle, but also just your home or outdoors witchy environment.
I’d love it if you would tag anything you feel comfortable with posting online with the tag #writeyourwitchcraft!

To the Boy With the Messy Room
You’re not what I expected. I didn’t think that I’d meet someone like you. You left me that night,Your voice still in my head. I didn’t think I could find someone who’s humor was like mine. Find someone to play video games with me when no one else would. I’m grateful and fearful. What if you aren’t like this when I see you.
So here I am. To the boy with the messy room, I tell you that I care. I am here. I desire nothing but what you can give. To the boy with the messy room, I say that I want it all not what you can give me in material but what you can give me in the heart.
To the boy with the messy room. I care. I love. I acknowledge.
Thank You, California
Thank you, California,
I hope you’re happy now.
A separate life,
Forever and always.
We tried and failed,
Over and over.
So thank you, California.
Time we go our own ways,
This isn’t what I wanted,
But you seem to have wanted it always.
I loved you,
You loved me sometimes.
It ended quickly,
But the pain lasted long.
I still cry, you know?
A sadness from losing you.
Thank you, California,
For loving me,
For losing me.
Thank you, California.
A Letter for You
Yknow, I thought maybe,
Maybe you were the one,
But you say no each time I turn to you.
I loved you for 3 years,
Yet I’m turned away once again.
You say our paths are too different.
We’ll never make it.
I keep showing you that
No matter what I will stay even with the distance.
The distance between us can change,
But I can’t force something not there.
My body shakes,
The thought of losing you is too much to bear.
When did our love fade?
You said it did, but maybe you never felt it.
Maybe this was one sided all along.
I loved you and I still do,
The pain you made me feel when you turned me away,
It’s in the past.
I forgive you for hurting me,
Come back.
You were my reason,
Now I have to throw aside feelings.
When will it end?
Yours truly.
never underestimate the power of:
• eating fruits and veggies
• going outside
• opening your windows and letting the fresh air in
• cuddling with your pet
• catching up with your sibling or parent
• complimenting someone you don’t know
• exercising
• journaling
• cleaning out your fridge and cabinets
• listening to happy music
• putting yourself first
• making and eating a home cooked meal
• washing the dishes/putting the dishes away
• washing/brushing your hair
We met three years ago. We looked at the world in the same way. We had the same political views. We became close. We got to be really good friends. Two and a half years down the line, we still talk. We video chat and laugh and play video games together. What started off as an online friendship between two like minded individuals turned into falling for each other. He lives so far away, but he has goals. He can provide for us and any family that might come. Maybe we fell for each other way before now, but we barely realized that come what may, we have never been able to turn our backs on each other. He’s the only one with that ringtone, I smile every time I hear it. Best friend always says “look at your smile, he’s a keeper”. What couldn’t be with a boy can be with a man. Look how you’ve grown. We were so young when we found each other, look at us now. Soon we can be in one another’s arms. You are a flight away, the time just needs to come.
