Gideon knew Molly was right about the scoop. There should be a scoop. But he also knew his sister well enough to recognize that this wasnât just about the absence of a scoop. âI can ask someone if they have an extra,â Gideon said. âFor the next poor soul who comes in to buy tea. And for the principle of it,â he said. He put a voice on to mimic his sister. âSince there is supposed to be a scoop.â His mouth about dropped as she continued to speak. âFour colds? I mean Iâd imagine headache would be a symptom of a cold, yes,â he joked though he knew what she meant. âIs there anything I can do to help? You know, besides the tea scoop.â Gideon laughed. âI know how to make tea,â he insisted, but then he trailed off. Heâs sure he could, he just didnât find him making tea often. âJust wandering about. I feel like I have even less patience for sitting about these days. If you thought that was even possible.â
Molly narrowed her eyes at him as she picked up on the mockery. âI hear that tone in your voice and I donât quite appreciate it at this moment.â Letting out an audible huff, she put her hand on her hip and nodded. âYes, find an extra scoop. Make sure no one else gets stuck in this predicament. What if a poor child from Hogwarts comes in? Theyâll use their hands and then it will just be anarchy.â She knew she was being extra dramatic, but at the moment she didnât quite care. âIf youâre about to tell me that you have a headache and think youâre coming down with a cold, I sure hope that you donât think youâre coming to my house to get rid of it. And if you want to, youâll be sharing a room with Ronald as he sniffles and cries all night long.â Shaking her head, Molly smiled half halfheartedly at her brother. His offer to help, making her mood improve ever so slightly. âNo, thereâs really nothing anyone can do. Just a matter of balancing time with them all and trying to not let the germs spread like wildfire.â Nodding, Molly knew exactly what he was thinking. She herself struggled with sitting still. It would let her mind wander and end up in places and scenarios that didnât need to be imagining. âWell, would you like company on your wander?â
