I feel very proud of myself from overcoming so much this year and also dealing with a wave of different emotions. Not only mentally, but I’ve achieved so much in my career already and I’m so proud of myself for doing that at 20 years old. I find myself reflecting on my past and comparing my life now to how it used to be then. It makes me feel proud but it also temporarily and briefly brings me back to my past, which I’m learning isn’t a healthy way of celebrating my accomplishments because I start to dwell on those times. From now on, I’m looking forwards instead of backwards, leaving my past behind me and celebrating myself for what it is and not what it used to be.
