Hello weirdos

Creating my first sideblog after idek how many years on Tumblr. I've always been in the habit of just letting my main blog be a hodgepodge of random stuff, but this brain rot is strong enough that I feel the need to save everyone from it who doesn't care to see it.

So I present to you my Baldur's Gate 3 sideblog! Here I'll reblog most of the BG3 stuff I love, but I plan to chiefly use this to gush about my main PC. In all my years in fandom, I was never really in any where I felt a strong desire to create content around a fandom OC. Guess there's a first time for everything. I loved my first Tav, but hot damn I fell deep down the Dark Urge hole. Blame @idgiebay and @neraiutsuze.

Maelstrom is a tiefling storm sorceror/rogue assassin. He really, really likes murdering people, but now he restrains his 'creative pursuits' to people who are evil and/or who threaten his found family. I've accumulated over 700 photo mode pics within a few days of updating to patch 8 and desperately need a place to dump them. Eventually I may be adding meta, fics, and rp stuff. Posts will probably contain spoilers for the Dark Urge storyline and the game in general, though I'll try to remember to tag consistently for that. Please enjoy!

More non-Dark Urge players also managed to murder Alfira than Dark Urge players. Spawn of Bhaal or not, maybe it’s time to stop pointing fingers.

Some of you faced the Absolute with the most powerful weapons, others decided to bring a charcuterie board to a fight with a giant brain.

Speaking of weapons, you’ve been very skilled at finding the rarer ones in the game. Shout out to the folk who willingly wielded the rusty Poo-Scraper in Act 3.

For some of you, the strategy has been getting the entire party pissed before entering combat. Bottoms up for Drunken Master Monks, we suspect you are partially to blame for these.

There's this thing called #gortashweek going on right now, and I'm not exactly participating, but I decided to at least support the guys. Well, I needed a test victim besides my guys, so the Iron Hand fell into the trap. Ironic. And I also got to touch Gortain, because I haven't really seen any screenshots of him.

Guys, hang in there for the event in the name of Gortash, Bane, Gortain, and all the rest of the tyranny.

And it turns out that the Steel Watch, in addition to the standard model, also have a red version, including this big guy.
