Okay, I have no idea how long this ask has been in my inbox or even to what post/cat this refers to, so ugh, hi, probably a super late delayed response here:
If it was about the grey fluffy cat: he is mix of something, probs some kind of domestic long-hair.
If it is about the multi-coloured cat: she is just a tortoiseshell domestic short-hair.
Not exactly helpful, but they were both rescues so they are a mystery.
Gonna be deleting this blog soon.
I’ll still be around with @thetroglodyte and @flowerprincessburd (with booklr stuff prob now ending up in the latter), but realistically I don’t haven’t had the time to get this blog up and running how I wanted it, and that is not a thing that is likely to change soon. 😓

Why do I love reading fantasy novels?
Life can be pretty hard sometimes and so I read fantasy as a kind of escape route for when I want to go into my own little world for a while. It is a sweet solace from all the downs of this world. It feeds my mind creatively and takes me anywhere I can imagine. Also everything can happen in a fantasy world, there are no limits to it which makes the story far more interesting for me. I also like reading fiction, fantasy however is far more removed from real life and I just want to escape the real world as much as possible. It isn’t bound to any modern convention and there are dozen sub-genres I can choose from. Personally I’m very into fantasy stories that have magic in them, because honestly I’d like to have magical powers :D I’m also interested in mythology, so I always tend to pick up those with a unique and intriguing mythology. Also one of the biggest fantasy series of all time got me into reading English books which is my greatest joy in life, so I’m very thankful for that! Saying that I couldn’t live without fantasy novels would be an exaggeration, but they just make me feel better really after a bad day. However I’d still say of myself that I’m a diverse reader.

I was gonna snap shots of my kits for folk as there has been a few people saying ‘Hi’ on account of my last post, but cats are, without a doubt, unphotographable arseholes.
So instead I give you the ‘currently reading’ photograph--because fuck yeah it matches my bed sheets, guys! Also because robots, and if you don’t like robots you are wrong. If I were to list the things I am interested in (which I am now going to do) it would read thus:
skeletons
robots
cats
oh, books too I guess
Okay, who am I kidding? #1 would read ‘robot skeleton cats’.

So I had this momentary spasm of anger ‘how dare they not be matchy matchy’ as I realised the spine of The Raven King was a dark grey, before noticing that, in fact, all the spines were varying shades of grey. It was just that with the subtle gradient the previous books had going, I hadn’t noticed until The Raven King came along with its ‘who the fuck turned out the lights’ grey.
Though, of course, ‘who the fuck turned out the lights’ grey seems very appropriate against its predecessors. You go, book designers! You go!

*whispers* This is the version they sell here. You may have a little trouble finding the first 2 in hardback now that the paperbacks are available, but I know my bookstore still had BLLB in the hardback last time I was there, and TRK probably won't be out in paperback yet as we stock the US editions here.

I got the first two on Book Depository and the other two were ordered through Fountain Bookstore. They are just the standard US Hardback editions.
About to watch the first episode of Tomorrow When the War Began. I suspect I will regret this.
