RICHIE TOZIER IS GAY NOT BISEXUAL

gonna say beforehand that this is not a “your hc is wrong” kinda post (I know some people are sensitive about hc’s) I’m just simply throwing in my two cents. Feel free to agree or disagree I don’t really care hell tell me your own opinions in the comments! Alright let’s go!!

I do not think Richie is Bisexual I think he is a closeted gay man (for all intents and purposes I shall be using the 2017-19 Richie for reference because that’s the one most Reddie fans use) Most people I see say that Richie is Bisexual (I honestly think it really comes from the fact that it seems to be a running thing that all of Finn’s characters are bisexual) but Richie really doesn’t give “bisexual” to me personally

In IT: Chapter Two we know that Richie never married (only joked about being with Eddie’s mom) and it’s pretty safe to say that he never had a girlfriend either. “But Ani what about the masturbaiting joke?” You might say well we know that he doesn’t write his own material (as said by him like 15 minutes later) so that wasn’t his experience it was just something someone else told him to say and imma go out on a limb here and say that Richie is also probably a 40 year old virgin lol. He’s still closeted (as shown by Pennywise still using his sexuality to taunt him after all this time) and I honestly don’t think he would’ve allowed himself to go out and experiment with other men because of that fact (imma be delusional for a second and say that subconsciously maybe he also didn’t because they weren’t Eddie and it’s pretty safe to say that Eddie was his first and only love)

Also gonna come out and say that he wasn’t really “attracted” to Bev I think it was just him being a pre-teen boy who’s never seen a girl in her underwear before hence the staring mainly because they never really played into the other Losers having feelings for her just Bill and Ben but that’s just my own take.

Anyhoo there’s probably more I could add to this but ive got a headache so imma stop here. Again feel free to agree or disagree. Tell me your thoughts, these are just mine.
