Huevember day 6

I know Halloween is over but I couldn't help myself. Huevember shades #4 and #5

Huevember day 3. My friends that are visiting me at the moment for some reason demanded I draw a fish with a flower so here it is.

Huevember day 2 We got approved for a new apartment so that means we'll be moving again soon! (Yay!) Moving means my cats favourite thing in the world, cardboard boxes.

Day 1- first drawing for huevember. The bright green reminded me of spring. 🌸

An eagle and owl feather. This is a very special drawing to me. My father passed away after a battle with cancer a few years ago. He loved eagles and my mother loves owls. I drew it for my mother (who now has it tattooed on her wrist.)

I have a hard time letting go of trying to have "correct proportions" in my drawings. Under or over exaggeration lend so much to characters but my brain fights me every time to make that leg longer or shorter. One of those habits that will be tough to break.

I was skyping my best friend this morning who has been overseas for a few years. I’m missing her terribly so I decided to draw her face whilst we talked. Portraits and realism aren’t my strong points but it’s not too bad for a quick little sketch.
