Italians can keep your penis shaped pasta and continue to be the pasta capital. Chicago has their Deep Dish Pizza which they ARE known for. Literally chicago style. It’s Their thing. Pizza anywhere in Europe sucks anyway, yes I can say that as someone who has had it, no you don’t have to have my opinion. When I think Italy, I think pasta. When I think Chicago, I think pizza. If we go by word association, Chicago wins.

It’s not even a matter of who created it first, but who is most known for it. Do we eat napoli pizza? No. Italian style pizza? Non. Chicago style pizza? Yeah, we do. If we go by namesakes, chicago wins.

 If you want you can even learn to share and be the European and Americas capitals. Italy, yall need to stop acting like yall aint already the capital of something. Like yall don’t already have a claim to fame that outshines pizza.  Italy, pasta capital. Chicago, pizza capital. DONE.
