Yeah…so. It’s been a pretty garbage couple of weeks. Just feeling lost and unfulfilled. I haven’t gotten any new clients or requests so I’m in a huge lull. I just feel stuck. I keep looking at the past and wishing for those gold old days in college where I knew where I was going. It’s ironoc though, because I was absolutely not myself when I was a music major. I pretended to love singing opera for 3 years so I could fit in with a niche I liked. That’s a big reason I turned to Phantom so hardcore at CSULB. And honestly I stopped because I didn’t need it anymore. I’ve been pretty clear for 5 years until now. To quote Lorelei Gilmore “Things seem hazier”. What kind of artist am I? Do I actually like being a portrait photographer or nah? Why the hell am I only good a things that 2008575748302 other people are better at? How do I compete? How do I find myself? When will our backsplash get done?

All I know is that I need some Ben Lewis in my life.

The filming location for the Star Trek episode A Private Little War is sometimes mistaken as Vasquez Rocks. It was actually filmed in the Simi Valley at the Bell Ranch. It was a minor movie ranch directly between two much more famous filming locations - Corriganville and the Iverson Ranch. The landscape of Corriganville, Iverson, and Bell Ranch is ultimately the same, but eagle-eyed film and TV nerds can spot the difference. It’s a beautiful area that is a mere Uber ride away from Los Angeles - filled with fine nature, vibrant sunshine, film history, and painless hiking paths. It’s a wonderful day trip for any lover of the outdoors or hollywood history.
