The number one question I get asked a lot is why the hell Wolfgang hates his daughter so here ya go.

Her father, Wolfgang Akire is a famous respected defense attorney. Emioline is the successor of the Akire bloodline. The thing is, Emioline lacks skill. She’s naive, makes mistakes and doesn’t really understand law the way Wolfgang wants her to.

He looks at her like an embarrassment and really does try his best to push her down the right path but she’s doesn’t do really well. Although she tries, Wolfgang doesn’t find her efforts to be “enough”.

In courtrooms Emioline gets overshadowed by her father and never gets recognized for her true efforts. For example “of course she won she’s Wolfgang’s daughter!”. Other than that people around her do recognize her lack of legal skill. That’s when it’s rumored that her father pays for her law career. This makes Emioline upset though we don’t really know if that rumor is true or not…

Wolfgang does mentor her of course, preparing her for real courtrooms and the real legal world but the twist here is that Wolfgang is actually a corrupt lawyer. And the worst part is nobody notices due to his “perfect image”

He forces Emioline into the same mold despite her lack of skill. He pushes expectations onto her, scolds her when she makes mistakes and accepts nothing but perfection. In the Akire bloodline there is no room for errors and that is why he will not let it end with him because of Emiolines incompetence.

Why does Wolfgang do all this? We don’t know? “Like father, like son, beneath a sheep’s skin lies a wolfish mind” I always kept that in mind. And maybe this is all just his father’s influence.
